Piper clicked the start button, and within a few seconds the race had begun. Piper dig her heels into the ground and twisted her forearm, making sharp turns left and right. All the while, she used the other hand to floor it, barely ever letting up.
(Sorry!!! Also, I'm kind of blanking out and don't know what to make Kelton do)
(No problem! Do ya want me to write another one for Piper?)
(It's fine, I'll slap my face with some water or blast loud music in my ears to wake myself up more and then respond)
(Lol ok do what you need to do 😂)
(Sorry about that! My aunt's family came over and they wouldn't let my get on my laptop, I'll get a response up soon sorryyy)
Kelton also did the same, his eyes not leaving the screen for even a millisecond, not even to check on Piper's progress. This tended to happen when he got competitive, he would forget about his surroundings and focus as if his life depended on it.
(Also, sorry that my response is shitty)
After a couple of minutes with almost complete silence, Pipers tense shoulders loosened and her expression brightened. She giggled and lifted an eyebrow.
“Haha, loser,” she said, pointing at her screen. “I beat you! Take that!”
(no your response isn’t bad lol and I totally understand you being off for a while)
"Nooo, why?!" Kelton groaned, slumping into the very uncomfortable seat as if he were trying to disappear. After a few moments, he realized he couldn't go down that far since he had to be so damn tall, he sat up and faced Piper.
She stuck her youngest out at him. “Loooooserrrrrr!” She said, with her hands cupped around her mouth. “Do you wanna play again, or was one defeat enough for you?”
Kelton playfully glared at her, crossing his arms. "Best out of five. Winner gets bragging rights."
“Pfft, I’ve already got bragging rights,” she scoffed. “But I guess I’ll have pity on you.”
Kelton rolled his eyes. "We'll see about that." He put another coin into his slot, looking at her to see what she was going to do.
She inserted another coin, and this time picked a more standard car. She shrugged. “I guess I’ll try something new.”
"I thought you'd do that." Kelton also picked a standard car this time, a small smile on his face as he kept glancing at her from the corner of his eye.
“Hm.” As she made the noise, she wasn’t even paying attention; her head was hung low in concentration.
By the time they finished their games, Piper had won three and Kelton had won two. As the leaderboard and their individual scores came up on the screen after the last game, Piper did a small victory dance, then got really close to his face.
“Loser!” She said again. As soon as she finished speaking, her voice caught in her throat. She really wished she hadn’t done that, since up close she could see how attractive he was. She widened her eyes in surprise.
(Bumpity bump bump)
(BUMP BUMP)
(Alcwjod, sorry, I'll get my response up first thing tomorrow, I'm on my phone right now)
Kelton rolled his eyes, smirking a bit when her voice got caught in her throat. "What? Cat got your tongue?" He asked, getting even closer to her face.
She broke eye contact with him, looking for something- anything- that could get her out of this really uncomfortable situation. She failed though, so she looked for something to say. “I- um, I beat you,” she smiled a tiny bit, still not making eye contact.
Kelton nodded. "I know," He replied, looking a bit awe-struck when he looked at her. How could someone be so beautiful, amazing and human? He didn't know, and honestly, he didn't care either. "Do you want me to do something for you since you won?"
By that time, she had partially regained her composure. She shrugged. “Nah, but I do want ice cream. Like really bad. So do you wanna go to the ice cream shop?”
