Austin groaned at his phone's alarm, which was the last alarm he sets for himself in the morning to get himself out of bed. He looked at the alarm clock on his bedside table through half-closed eyes and swore quietly before dragging himself out of bed, changing, then going downstairs.
A little while later dad came upstairs and saw frost biting his shoe “FROST!” He yelled. Frost got scared and put his head down whining
"Finally. The lazy one arises," Michelle teased her twin.
"Yeah, whatever," Austin grumbled, sitting down in the living room, "Is there any food left or did my family of pigs eat it all?"
"Cas ate my cereal. I hate him."
"Don't leave your food unattended, simple as that. It's a dog eat dog world, Mish."
"But that's the cereal that I have to eat. And I buy it myself. I don't see any of you guys buying pur own food. Maybe I should pit a fridge and pantry in my room."
"We don't really need to buy our own when you're buying us free food," Austin smirked at her.
“In my defence, we like the same cereal.”
Elizabeth slowly got out of bed and walked down the stairs, yawning. She walked into the kitchen to see her siblings talking about cereal.
"I like fwree food," she said yawning, "Can you get me some Mishy?" She asked tugging of Michelle's arm.
Michelle picked Elizabeth up. "No one is getting free food. I'm paying to get a fridge and pantry in my room and a lock on it."
"And I'm going to pay for a key." Austin added, getting up from his seat. "With Michelle's money."
“Got a job by the way.” Case said nonchalantly flipping through channels
"No, you are not taking my money."
"You can have some of my money, Mishy! I have…" Elizabeth stuck her tongue out while she counted on her fingers, "50 cents!"
“You can get money from me, I just got a job.”
"Yes, take money from Cas. I have an actual company to uphold, and I need the money I earn."
"I don't care who I get the money from, as long as I get money," Austin said. He walked to the kitchen and grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl, then went back to the living room and plopped back on his seat. His phone buzzed, and he quickly took it out of his pocket, hoping for a certain message. When he saw it wasn't what he was waiting for, he slipped it back in his pocket.
Michelle also grabbed an apple and went to sit down next to Austin. "Then get a job."
Austin took a bite of his apple, then looked at his twin sister. "Nah."
"I could pay you if you wanted to work for me."
Elizabeth walked over to the bench and tried to climb onto one of the high chairs to get an apple.
"Cas-cas, can you help me pwease?"
(I hope that everyone is ok with me giving everyone cute nicknames from Elizabeth)
Finley walked back into the house, sighing. "I missed the bus. It's supposed to come at 8:00 but this time it decided to come at 7:45." She sat down on the recliner, pulling out a book and beginning to read. "Not like I wanted to go anyway."
“Can y’all keep it down? I’m trying to sleep,” Jayde groaned from the couch.
Elizabeth walked over to the bench and tried to climb onto one of the high chairs to get an apple.
"Cas-cas, can you help me pwease?"
(I hope that everyone is ok with me giving everyone cute nicknames from Elizabeth)
