(Does that mean that we're going to start?)
(sorry i was working)
Ms Hosking stood up on the bus. "Alright everyone! I know this is really exciting! We normally go to America to compete but it's amazing that we've been given the chance to perform in other places of the world! Stick close in the airport, try to stay with someone in Grade 10, 11 or 12 and don't wonder off."
(No sweat!)
Ginger kept her head down shyly. She wanted to meet new people, but at the same time she was afraid of screwing up and embarassing herself in front of everyone. So she sat in the front of the bus, alone, as the rest of the choir chatted socially behind her.
"Everyone up!" Ms Hosking yelled, lifting her hands. Everyone stood up, grabbed their backpacks and started to slowly get off the bus.
Ana looked around as they got off the bus. She’s never been on a plane before! She was excited to take this trip and get away from home for a while.
Ginger hitched her backpack on her shoulders and stayed near the back of the group. She watched all of the friends talking animatedly and thought of her old friends.
Brooke noticed a ginger haired girl straying behind the group. "Alice," She whispered to her lite sister. "Stay with Marcus. Marcus," She turned to her little brother. "Stay with Abigail." Brooke left her two little siblings with one of her Grade 12 friends and started to slow move towards the girl.
Ginger noticed a girl coming towards her. She took a deep breath. Okay, calm down… Calm down…
Brooke reached the girl. "Hi. Why aren't you up the front?"
Liam stood to the side and waited for someone
The choir went through customs, and suddenly they were in the clear of Brisbane Airport. Many of the younger grades were extremely excited.
Ana looked around here letting everything sink in. She whent through the contents of her bag through her head to make sure she hadn’t forgotten anything. She knew that if she did there was no way of getting it but she still wanted to make sure.
The choir started to head in the direction of their gate.
Brooke reached the girl. "Hi. Why aren't you up the front?"
"I don't know anyone…" Ginger answered quietly. She had no clue where she was going, she just followed the lead of the choir.
"Well, now you know me. I'm Brooke West-Phillips, Grade 12," Brooke said, sticking out her left arm.
"Ginger Katra, um… Grade 10." Ginger reached with her right hand, then, embarrassedly, switched.
"Sorry, I'm left handed. I always forget. Which is weird since I technically don't even have a left hand."
Ginger blushed. She hadn't even noticed the prosthetic. "S-Sorry…"
"No, it's fine. I used to hide it, so it's fine."
"Okay…" Ginger said, looking at her sneakers.
"So, how long have you been in the choir?"
"Um… I've been singing ever since I was 3, and I was in my high school general and select choirs in Palmyra…."
"Oh, so you're not from Australia? That's so cool!"
"No. I moved here… a week ago? No, less."
"Whoa. So it must have been huge to just be thrown into the trip, right?"
