Zee felt a little twinge of guilt that she had made him uncomfortable. She pushed it down, and answered his question, “I like to read, sometimes write. I like to sing a little, doesn’t mean I’m necessarily good at it, though. What about you?”
(Sorry, I was taking care of something and it took longer than I thought)
Quin flopped onto his bed. "I like music and art. Though my art is mostly makeup, I'm good at makeup." He says from upside down on his bed, kicking his feet in the air.
Zee picked up one of her smaller bags and put it on the bed next to her. “Thanks really cool! I’ve never really been good at makeup, myself. Do you do, like, body painting kind of makeup, or like glam makeup?” She asked. She wasn’t entirely sure that made any sense, or that she really knew what she was talking about. She hoped it didn’t sound stupid.
Quin laughed. "Both, me and my sisters use to do cosplay a lot. Both of them are useless with makeup, so I helped. My boyfriend is okay with makeup, though he never actually wears any." Quin said, flicking his fingers as he spoke.
Just throwing in a plot twist here…//
Zee nodded, thinking about that little nugget of information. She was a little jealous that her roommate came with a boyfriend while she was still single. Regardless, this new information ignited her curiosity more. “Ooh, a boyfriend I hear?” She said slyly. “What’s he like? How long have you been dating? Where did you meet?”
Quin looked a bit startled by this wave of questions but tried his best to answer them. "Well, his name's Heath and he is very nice. He owns a cafe and we have been dating for about 2 years. We were childhood friends and he would always stick with me, even though his older brother scared the living crap out of me."
“Aww! That. Is so. CUTE!” Zee gushed. “I wanna meet him, now! Do you think he’ll come over ever?”
"Uh… He might, he likes to bring over sweets all the time." Quin offered, both Heath and Quin had major sweet tooths.
“Oh. My God! That is literally the cutest thing I have ever heard in my whole life! You are so lucky!” Zee could feel herself going overboard, but she got really excited about cutesy relationships; she couldn’t help herself. She hoped he wasn’t uncomfortable or anything.
"Um… I guess?" He could tell she was excited, but he wasn't used to people being happy. Well other than Heath of course, Heath was always happy.
As the conversation came to a sort of lull, and by lull Zee didn’t know what else to say. “I need to unpack and such,” she announced in hopes that it would maybe ignite more conversation somehow. “Is all your stuff in the bag?”
Quin looked much happier now that the subject was changed. "Yeah! I had it enchanted to it's pretty much bottomless." He said excitedly, he was very proud of his work.
Zee was in fact very impressed. “Woah, dude. That,” she pointed to the seemingly normal black bag, “is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. And here I am carting around all my stuff in four different bags like a loser. Ingenuity at its finest, right there.”
"I could try and do it with one of your bags…" He offered shyly, he liked his new roommate. But soon she was going to start to wonder why she was sharing a girls dorm with a guy.
“Ohh, yay, that’s fun!” She clapped her hands and spread out all her bags. “Should they be empty? We can dump it out on my bed or the floor or whatever. Just tell me what you need from me.”
(Also, That last Line is being noted)
"It needs to be empty and it works better if it's a smaller container." He said, turning into teacher mode as Heath likes to call it.
“Oh!” Zee grabbed the smaller bag from before. It was somewhere in between purse sized and duffel bag sized but not really either of the two. “Will this work?” She asked, holding the bag out in her hands like she was in a presentation.
Quin took the bag and inspected it. "Yeah, it should work." He says, bowing his head and muttering something in a demonic language. "There we go, it should work."
“Ooh, spoopy.” Zee said jokingly. She took the bag from Quin’s hand and inspected the outside of it as if it would be different. She then stuck her hand inside, finding that her it didn’t stop where the bottom should be. She proceeded to excitedly stick her whole arm in the bag before taking it back out again. “Woah, Quin! This is so cool! Thank you! Are you a hugger? Can I give you a hug?”
Can we return to this tommorw?//
