As soon as we stop screaming over the fact that we've found our people, has anyone else created characters based on the dragon races because they were too lazy to create their own dragon races?

Hey! I know this forum is dead, but I just wanted to drop by and say that Wings of Fire is my favorite thing??
I've loved it for around five years now aaaa I refuse to grow up! I started reading it when the hidden kingdom wasn't out yet~
I'm not immersed in the fandom or anything, I just really enjoy it <3

It even inspired me enough to make my own dragon-based story!
Not an AU, it's just related in that it's a world of dragons…
But, in that way, I guess you can say I created my own species of fanwings? :)

Anyways, sorry for poking this dead chat – I'll go now. But just saying, ya'll have some great taste imo

Well, I mean, since you poked the sleeping bear, I may as well say that it also inspired me to start smashing influences from this book and a few video games to make my own universe! So many cool ways to implement frickin' DRAGONS!

Does anyone have any more theories on the dragons themselves? Something tells me that there are more isolated continents, but they won't appear until the author wills it/money is tight. Speaking of which, I know she wrote a Warriors book under a pen name, but has she done anything else?

Theory wise I think Tui has it down for the most part. She has had a pan in mind since day one. Other works though? Nothing like WoF

She co-authored a book with her sister. It's called The Menagerie. Absolutely amazing.

I'm so late but HI YES I LOVE THESE except I'm not pleased with all the new lost continent books they just aren't quite as good as the first ten maybe it's just me but still SO INCREDIBLY GOOD

To be honest, I haven't re-read the other ten, but I still absolutely LOVE this series! I do feel that the plot is moving towards the end-goal more than the others, which focused on character development and interaction, but I still really enjoy reading them. I think the world-building involving locations is my favorite part, especially with the descriptions of the Hives and their inner workings. It's all SO COOL!
