Allyanna nodded. "I'm glad you are alright…" She seemed awkward, not knowing what to do

Al just smiled, not one to seek comfort from others. "I'll always be good eventually after em"

Allyanna looked more closely at Al. "Do they happen often?" She asked worriedly

"Not realy" She said simply. "That was one of the first in a while"

Allyanna nodded.."If it happens again, is there anything I can do to help you through it?" She asked, taking Al's hand again.

"Not really.." She admitted. "The best thing you can do is be as noncombative as possible.. I won't recognize you as a friend"

Allyanna nodded. "Good to know. Is there anything else that often triggers these.. episodes?"

"It varies.. Loud bangs.. certain flashes of light.. i don't know I you have pyrotechnics here, but those"

Allyanna nodded. "Got it. I will try to avoid those. Thank you for telling me." She said, soothingly

She nodded. "Of course, thank you for caring"

Allyanna smiled. "Of course I care. You are sentient. That is important." She said.

Al let out a soft scoff as she smiled and shook her head. "You'd be surprised how many people don't think so"

Allyanna raised an eyebrow. "Do not think you are sentient or do not think that is important?"

She laughed a bit, remembering the still very present language barrier. "No, no. A lot of humans don't believe sentience means one is worthy of compassion"

Allyanna nodded. "A lot of Nefili do not either. They believe they are superior. I believe there is a lot we can learn from each other."

"We definitely can. Humans believe they're the best thing there is." She said. "Its stupid, really. Here we are, both the first of our species to discover foreign intelligent life, and neither of us can say anything because it'd start a war on at least one of our planets. Where's the logic in that?"

Allyanna nodded. "War is so dumb. There is no point. Just pain and suffering." She pointed out

"Honsetly" Al agreed. "Especially when its between groups of people who could learn more from peace. Like, I've learned an absolute ton in the few days I've been on your planet. Just imagine how advanced of a society we could be if both humans and Nefeli could coexist instead of feeling the need to conquer"

Allyanna went silent for a second. "Maybe… What if we staged a big accident, one on both planets, faking the deaths of people who would live in peace. Then we leave to a new planet, there is one currently uninhabited nearby because there is no natural life, but it seems like it would support life if we brought plants and a couple animals. We make sure we have the professions needed to live, and in a couple generations, we have proof that conquering is not necessary.. and I sound mad. Nevermind, forget I said anything…"

Al took Allyana's hand immediately, smiling wide. "A mad genius, maybe. That's an amazing idea. As soon as my ship's fixed, I can go back to Earth, fake the report of this planet, and gather my guys.I already know four humans who would love to do that. Their names are Simon, Naomi, Zaid, and Iva. When we were teenagers, we used to dig for evidence of aliens on earth as a hobby. I'm a marine, so I'm pretty multi-purpose, Iva's a gardener who grew up on a farm, Zaid is an ecologist, Naomi is a butcher, and Simon is a mechanic, so there's five necessary professions right there" She explained.

Allyanna looked at her. "I- oh! That.. might work!" Allyanna seemed excited and happy. "We would need a livestock worker, another survivalist would be helpful, I am a medic.. mostly for animals, but I can do people as well… An architect/builder would be useful, and a scientist to manufacture water and air in case something happens. Maybe an engineer, to further our small civilization. We'l would need a larger ship than any I have available, to carry livestock, plants, and equipment, but I'm sure I could find one. I can reach out to old contacts and try to figure out how receptive they would be to the idea!"

Al was just as hyped, clearly loving the idea. "Great! Zaid, as an ecologist, could synthesize air, water and sunlight- god forbid he needs to- I've seen him do it. Iva can help with the livestock, since she grew up on a farm, and Simon was in the Marines with me. I'm not sure if I can help with an architect or engineer, but I work as a paramedic.. As for the accident, it would make perfect sense for the five of us to all be together, as we've been close since highschool. Simons also good with tools, being a mechanic, so he can help with building"

Allyanna nodded. "Awesome! We will need at least two couples of each species to make sure we don't go extinct withing one or two generations, and I can bring synthesis equipment to make reproduction easier if needed. I will make sure to get those with my group. Are any of your friends together?"

"Naomi and Zaid!" Al answered, as though everything was all coming together. "Iva's a trans girl, though, and Simon likes guys" Al replied. "I like women, so they'd be the only two capable of reproduction"

Allyanna looked confused. "What? Why would they- your species can only reproduce with different sexes? Either way, that's what the synthesis equipment is for. When people are having a hard time conceiving, we splice their DNA together similarly to the biological process, and then implant the embryo in either the carrier parent or a carrier pod, if the parents are unable to."

Al smiled. "I know, it's dumb. We need to evolve. But that's what humans do too, so it'll absolutely work. Any ideas on how we'd go about getting the ship and livestock to do it?"

"We will need a Nefali piolet anyway, so I'll find one with access to a larger, colonial ship." She suggested.

"Perfect. We can get plenty of livestock from Earth, Iva's farm has far too many, and no one counts any of the sheep, cows, or pigs" Al replied
