Andrew is investigating, and it, so far, appears to be unusually high server traffic. He’s not sure why yet, but he’s working on pinning it down

Supernatural: The Worthy Winchester
An Expansion of Sam Winchester Lifting Mjölnir
Prologue: A Forgotten Prophecy
Deep in the archives of the Men of Letters bunker, Sam Winchester sat hunched over a massive tome, his fingers tracing ancient Norse script. He had been restless ever since their encounter with the Norse god Vili and his unexpected ability to lift Mjölnir. Dean had brushed it off as some fluke, but Sam couldn't let it go.
If Thor’s hammer could only be lifted by someone deemed truly worthy, what did that say about him?
Flipping through the brittle pages, he stumbled upon an entry referencing Thor’s Successor—a figure foretold to emerge in an age when the gods had faded and their relics lay dormant. The text suggested that the power of Mjölnir would manifest in one who had endured suffering, sacrificed selflessly, and remained true to their convictions.
Sam frowned. That could describe a lot of people.
But the last line chilled him:
"The Worthy shall know their fate when the storm calls their name."
Chapter 1: The Storm Approaches
"Hey, Sammy, I thought you were done geeking out over that hammer," Dean muttered, biting into a burger.
Sam set the book down. "Dean, what if it wasn’t just some random thing that I could lift it? What if it means something?"
Dean scoffed. "Dude, you're telling me Thor's hammer picked you to be his replacement? What, are you gonna start rocking a cape now?"
"Dean, I’m serious. Look at this—" Sam slid the book over, pointing at the prophecy. "This isn’t just about being ‘good’ or ‘strong.’ It’s about endurance, sacrifice… and a calling."
Dean read over the passage and sighed. "Okay, fine. You lifted a magic hammer. So what? It’s not like you still have it."
Sam opened his mouth to argue, but a distant rumble of thunder interrupted him. The sky had been clear moments ago. Now, ominous dark clouds gathered overhead. The bunker’s lights flickered.
Dean glanced outside. "Well… that’s weird."
Before Sam could respond, a deafening boom shook the room. Lightning struck mere feet from the bunker entrance, searing the ground. In the center of the charred earth lay an object, gleaming with runes that pulsed like a heartbeat.
Mjölnir had returned.
Chapter 2: The Trial of the Gods
Sam hesitated as he reached out. Last time, it had been effortless. This time, something inside him braced for impact. The second his fingers closed around the hammer’s grip, a surge of power coursed through him.
Images flooded his mind—ancient battlefields, gods waging war, a colossal serpent writhing in the depths of the sea. And then, a voice.
"You have been chosen."
Sam gasped as the vision ended. He staggered back, gripping the hammer tightly.
"Sam?" Dean stepped forward, wary.
Sam turned, eyes briefly flashing with something… otherworldly.
"I think I just got drafted into Ragnarök."
Chapter 3: A Visit from the Past
No sooner had Sam spoken than a cold wind filled the bunker. The shadows twisted, and a figure stepped forward from nothingness.
"Loki," Dean growled, reaching for his gun.
The Trickster smirked. "I prefer Gabriel, but hey, details. You two idiots sure know how to stir up old business."
Sam exhaled sharply. "You knew, didn’t you?"
Gabriel’s expression darkened. "Knew? Kid, I warned Odin to hide that hammer because of this very thing." He pointed at Sam. "You being worthy? That’s like putting a puppy in charge of a nuke. The moment you lifted that thing, you set off an alarm across every divine plane that Norse mythology ain’t dead yet."
Dean crossed his arms. "Yeah, well, forgive us for not exactly keeping tabs on what lore is still active. What’s the damage?"
Gabriel sighed. "Thor’s power wasn’t just in the hammer, Sammy. It’s in you now. And guess what? The Jötnar—big, nasty frost giants?—just found out their old enemy has a new champion. They’re coming."
Thunder cracked. The storm outside intensified.
Gabriel winced. "Correction. They’re here."
Chapter 4: War of the Giants
The sky split open, and a massive figure stepped through—a frost giant, towering at least twenty feet tall, its eyes glowing with malice. Behind it, more emerged, their breath turning the air to ice.
Sam barely had time to react before Mjölnir vibrated in his grip. The second he swung it, a bolt of lightning shot forward, incinerating one of the giants on impact.
"Whoa," Dean breathed. "Sammy, you got superpowers now?"
Gabriel yanked them both aside as another frost giant hurled an ice shard the size of a car. "Less talking, more smashing, Mjölnir Boy!"
Sam didn’t need to be told twice. He hurled the hammer, watching as it sailed through the air, obliterating another giant before it returned to his hand. The battle raged, but Sam felt… different. Stronger. Faster.
He was winning.
But then, the ground rumbled. The largest frost giant yet stepped forward, gripping an ice-forged axe.
"I am Skadi, daughter of Thiazi. You hold what is not yours, mortal."
Sam tightened his grip on the hammer. "Then come and take it."
Chapter 5: A God’s Burden
The fight with Skadi was brutal. Each blow she delivered sent shockwaves through the earth, but Sam met her strikes with equal force. He felt something awakening within him—an instinct, an understanding of the hammer’s true potential.
As Skadi raised her axe for a final strike, Sam channeled all his energy into Mjölnir. The sky roared, and a thunderbolt struck the hammer. With a single, devastating blow, Sam shattered Skadi’s weapon—and with it, the frost giants’ invasion.
The storm cleared. The world stilled.
Gabriel whistled. "Okay, I take it back. Maybe you’re not entirely gonna screw this up."
Dean clapped Sam on the back. "Dude. You just Thor’d all over those guys."
Sam exhaled, his grip on the hammer tightening. "This isn’t over, is it?"
Gabriel shook his head. "Nope. You just painted a big ol’ ‘smite me’ target on your back. Every remaining Norse entity is gonna want a piece of you."
Sam looked down at the hammer, then up at the sky.
"Then I better be ready."
Epilogue: The Journey Ahead
As the Winchesters drove off into the night, Sam held Mjölnir close, feeling its weight—not just physically, but the burden it carried.
He wasn’t just a hunter anymore.
He was worthy.
And soon, the gods would know his name.

Hello homie, I can share my knowledge! I'm a senior in college majoring in Digital Media, and getting two degrees at the same time in Journalism and Film. Whatcha want to know? I can cover the basics from news broadcasting all the way to radio.
If there is anyone here that is good with animating, I could use some help. I am making a LOT of characters, and I need someone to take them.
Ive been working on moving in with my mom. She lives 5 hours away. I have lived with my dad my whole life, and ngl, him and my stepmom can be A-holes. They dont even try to understand how my brain works, and claim I'm using it as a crutch whenever I try to explain the best ways things work for me. With my mom… I don't have to mask…and she doesn't yell at me for having a panic attack…and just her vibe is so much better than here…and I'm leaving monday…and I'm f-ing scared… I stayed with her from september-november, and it was great…but now I'm actually moving…and its scary…this was the only place I've ever called home…I may be 19, but I'm not good at adulting.. I don't currently have a job, just got my liscense the 2nd of this year (great way to start the year, with a big-ish accomplishment, more on that later), my car hasn't ran in 3 years…and I'm leaving everything behind… but I'll be ok…it's just scary…
As for my liscense…the parents (my dad and stepmom) were disappointed in me, and didnt think I should have gotten it. (I did the behind the wheel test, and passed first try. ) so I couldnt even be proud of myself for it, no matter how much I wanted to, bc I knew I should have gotten it before…but I failed…and didnt feel like I deserved it…thankfully, my mom was proud of me.
No one's good at adulting. That's the big secret. Not one single adult knows what the hell they're doing.
It's extremely cruddy how your dad and stepmother are treating you.

my sister gave me a sword today and im learning He's a Pirate on electric guitar!
the sword is awesome and it came from an abandoned house down the road, along with a whole bunch of other stuff and we're going back over there later this week to loot – I mean, look around some more.
Uhhh anyone else’s forums acting up? Mine stopped updating timestamps unless I refresh and it also won’t expand my textbox or show my message previews….. I also can’t make new threads or else I’d have posted this in site support 👩

Some of this has already been made known to Andrew, but I’ll definitely tell him about the stuff you’re having issues with
Ohhh ok. I was just hoping it wasn’t just a me problem, lol— thanks Serp ^_^

No problem. A few others have been having similar problems (including me…). This tiny text box thing is driving my phone insane, nervous chuckle…

For real, I use a dead pm here for my writing (the other person deleted their account) so I basically can’t update any of my works until this is resolved 😞

Oof. I just got back into one of my rps, and I make long responses, so… yeah…
One of my teachers just came into my class (one he does not teach), threw candy at all of us, and left.
umm 🙂 guys 🙂
one of my pms is showing an error 500 and I don’t know how to fix it 🙂
Just site maintenance. Andrew is still doing some work on the back end. Nothing too major. Your PMs should come back shortly, if not are back already.
I need to make my bed but my cat won't move her tiny little ass and get off the top blanket😭 she likes to make biscuits in this one blanket and it makes her all static-y and then when I go to pet her we both get a tiny lil zap
My dog is like that. My little mini lightning bolt.
You don't want to know what my dog is like.
one of my dogs is a border collie, and she looks like a wholesome cartoon. meanwhile, my pit bull/blue heeler dog looks like a cursed, poorly drawn cartoon. she acts like one too.
I absolutely do want to know what all dogs are like. If I hadn't become a writer, I'd have become a Vet.
Big and speedy. Also likes to jump.
I have a medium mutt, that loves sprinting. She jumps fairly high. I've thought about getting her into dock jumping, but I don't know how she'll handle the water. But she's a good ole dog.
