Alex watched him as he turned in his test, smiling softly as he returned to his seat. “Oh, I don’t know. Decent enough, I guess,” he said casually, poking Cas back. He took a moment to stretch himself out. “You’re distracting too, y’know. Very pretty. Very mesmerizing. The most impeccable, eye catching winks on the planet.”

@Fenrir

Cas's brows turned up in slight concern. "Hopefully you did well, then. We don't get many tests in this class." He reminded gently, breathing a light laugh when poked before he grabbed his bag as the bell rang. "My intent was not to distract you. Simply to motivate. But clearly it had the wrong effect." he laughed and offered his hand. "That wasn't easy but its over, thankfully. Now we just have to prepare for the final. But for now we'll focus on our date, a little celebration for surviving half the year."

@Tired-but-passionate

“Yeah, yeah, I know,” he said, watching Cas for a moment before realizing class was over. Alex started packing up his things. “If you want to motivate me, you have to offer me a deal or something.” He swung his bag over his shoulder. “Ahem. Alex, if you do well on this test, I’ll give you a hundred kisses.” He snickered and took his hand.
“Date!” Alex smiled until he noticed his friends in the class walking by. They didn’t say anything, just gave him strange looks. Alex’s smile faded, replaced by a confused expression. But soon enough, he looked back and Cas and smiled again. “I’m excited.” He started walking out.

@Fenrir

"oh, a deal?" Cas mused, tilting his head in contemplation as they waited for Jeckle. "ah you should have told me before you would exchange my affections for good grades." He shook his head with a laugh, a light blush rising to his cheeks. "I don't know, that'd take quite a while, no?" He asked, glancing up as Alex's friends walked past. He recognized them from the biology classes and this one, never having talked with them but he did now notice the strange looks. He gently swung Alex's arm and nodded towards them once they had passed. "They're probably worried about you. Wondering probably why you suddenly ditched them for a witch. I don't mind waiting if you want to hang out with them for a bit until the date. I have to make sure the shop is okay anyways before hand and change." He offered as they walked out of the room followed by Jeckle.

@Tired-but-passionate

Alex chuckled. “Well, it doesn’t have to be a hundred kisses,” he amended. “It can be… like, fifty.” He snickered more.
Then he followed Cas’s gaze to his friends again. “Oh… yeah.” He sighed. “The potion probably made me not pay any attention to them… but it also makes separating from you so hard…” he covered his eyes with his free hand.
He sighed and let down his hand. “I hope they’re not mad at me or something…”

@Fenrir

Cas nudged Alex' shoulder with a small smile "if you can make it a day as a wolf resisting me, then I think you can make it a few hours while we both get ready for the date and I check on this potion of our. Go be with you're friends for a bit, take a break from being hopelessly in love with me." He gave Alex a gentle peck on the cheek and took a step back, letting go of his hand. "I'll see what I can do about he 50 to 100 kisses later. Perhaps I'll co sider it as a reward." He winked and waved aalex towards his group of his friends. "I'll see you later my vampiro, promise." He nodded encouragingly before heading down the hallway with Jeckle and going to his shop, immediately continuing his work on the potion.

@Tired-but-passionate

How could I ever take a break from being in love with you? he couldn’t help but think. He wasn’t sure how to feel as Cas kissed his cheek and let go of his hand. He gave him a small, uneasy smile, watching helplessly as he winked at him and walked away. “See you later, pequeno brujo.” He kept staring until Cas and Jeckle had disappeared, then sighed and went the opposite way to where his friends had gone. He knew where they were headed. He tried to think of things he could say, so he didn’t have the image of Cas winking pervading his mind.

@Fenrir

"little witch?" Jeckle question as he nudged Cas' shoulder teasingly. Cas' rolled his eyes as he unlocked the back entrance to the shop. "He's the only one allowed to call me that. When did you learn Spanish anyways?" Cas' shucked off his jacket and immediately started working on the potion again, waving a hand to stop the spoon from stirring by itself.
"Hey! I payed attention…mostly." Jeckle defended, settling in one of the stools around the shop. " Anyways, It's cute how you two already have nicknames for each other." The vampire leaned forwards as he watched Cas work with the potion. "I really am sorry about the love potion thing. I…" He paused and then shrugged slightly. "I guess I was trying to play matchmaker. I never intended for either of you to get hurt." Cas glanced up from his work and offered a small smile. For as long as they had known each other, Jeckle had always been the bold one, never afraid to make a fool out of himself to satiate his own curiosity. He was ambitious and sometimes a bit reckless but for all his bravado and confidence there was no denying Jeckle took accountability. And sometimes to a fault, brutally honest. Cas' sighed softly. "I can see why Rain likes you so much." He muttered softly, earning Cas a rare chance to see his friend blush. "And in the end you were right. I may not have ever confessed my feelings for Alwx to him if he hadn't initiated first. He may not have done so for his own reasonings and we would have just been stuck as friends. As much as I wish there hadn't been any potion interference, it still doesn't change how we feel about each other dep down." Cas killed the heat of the couldron and took a step back proudly. "If Alex wants to be with me after all of this mess I don't think I could refuse, but I want us to be genuine without any interfering." He found a few slim glass bottles and a delicate gold label to start bottling the potion. "And if he doesn't," he paused, his gaze growing distant or a moment. "Then we go on as before. It's up to him."
Jeckle stood to help with sealing the bottles, but a look of turmoil crossed his features. "And you?" He asked softly as he gathered the wax and tea light. "You still love him."
Cas shrugged as he whipped the sides of the bottle and handed them off. "Of course I do. Who knows, maybe I'll confess to him after a while."

@Tired-but-passionate

(Didn’t he already confess?)

Brook had always suspected that Alex had been acting weird recently. No sign of him yesterday, only a few texts here and there. No explanations, no warnings. He was a no-show. And today, he was distracted. He seemed to lose interest in her and his other friends overnight. Instead, he was preoccupied with a witch.
She lead the way to an old haunt, flanked by James and Sam. No one said anything at first, as Brook’s grim determination seemed to take hold of them. That is, until James adjusted his glasses with a curious expression.
“So… how do you guys think you did on the exam?” He asked.
Sam shrugged. “We’ll see. I’d prefer not to think about it.”
“We should think about other things,” Brook agreed.
They made out to the courtyard and congregated at the fountain in the center. Brook sat on the edge, setting her bag on the ground. James sat next to her, and Sam stayed standing, pausing to check something on her phone.
“Sam, can you text Alex? He’s not here, and he has some explaining to do,” Brook said, crossing her arms.
Sam looked at her, then up across the courtyard. “Uh— he’s coming.”
Indeed, he was. Alex jogged across the courtyard, zigzagging to avoid other students walking past. When he made it to the fountain, he was panting a little.
“Uh… hey guys,” he started awkwardly, but before he could continue, Brook jumped up, eyes dark crimson.
“What is going on with you?” She asked.
He threw up his hands in surrender, blinking in surprise. “Woah, slow down Brook. Listen, something came up… it made things complicated.” He sighed. “How do I say this…”
Brook furrowed her brows, crossing her arms again. James let out a sigh.
“Alex, you talking to a witch. You were done with the exam before class was even halfway over. It’s… not like you, if you know what I mean.”
“Yeah.” Alex felt his face flush and his vision tint pink. “Y— yeah, the witch. The witch…”
His friends shared a look. Sam put her phone in her pocket. “Alex, why are your eyes shining like that?”
“It’s… uhm…” He blinked, then looked away.
She walked up and set her hands on his shoulders. “Listen, whatever’s going on, we’ll work it out. We just want an explanation. Witches can be… well, you know.”
“He looked more like a halfling to me,” James muttered.
“Regardless,” Brook huffed, “you were hanging out with him and not us. Did he offer you some exotic blood or something?”
Alex looked back at them. “No,” he said quickly. “Nothing like that. I… I like him.”
The others shared a look again. Brook slapped her hand to her face. “That makes sense,” Sam nodded. “He did look kinda cute.”
“Well, good luck with that,” James shook his head. “You should be careful, though.”
“And please sit with us tomorrow?” Brook asked. “It was weird without you.”
Alex nodded. “Yeah, yeah, definitely. Sorry guys. It’s been… weird these past couple of days…”

@Fenrir

(absolutely no worries! and yeah, I meant confessing when alex was normal without the potion.)

"Do you really think he'll take them?" Jecked asked as he carefully set the five bottles into a care basket Cas had pulled together. Despite his reassurances from Alex, Cas still felt responsible for all the trouble he's put him through. Cas glanced up from cleaning the room and frowned slightly. "I wouldn't blame him if he didn't. But I hope if he does it works." He replied. Jeckle nodded slightly, his gaze growing slightly distant. "You're a good person Cas. No matter what other people say." Cas hopped up on the stool next to Jeckle and helped arrange the care package. "I don't think Alex's friends quite like a witch hanging around him." Jeckle couldn't help but roll his eyes but said nothing as he added a bow to the basket. "They don't know you like we do. You'e not dangerous. You wouldn't have given Alex that potion if I hadn't tricked you." Cas gently touched Jeckle's arms and gave a slight smile. "It was your form of encouragement. I don't blame you and I'm sure if you explain things to Alex he'd forgive you. Besides, this should also help." He waved to the basket with a hopeful grin. "And we have our double date to look forward to," he mentioned, stretching and yawning.
Jeckled breathed a laugh and gave a slight smile. "True, We should be heading back soon." he gently nudged Cas "You need sleep, get your magic replenished. I'll see ya tomorrow."
Cas nodded and snapped his fingers to turn off the lights in the store. Grabbing his keys and his basket, he led the way out of the store and locked up with a final wave to Jeckle.

@Tired-but-passionate

Alex laid in his bed, staring at the ceiling. A laptop, some folders, and scattered paper surrounded him. He let out a sigh.
“I’d recommend sitting with them, but don’t let them talk shit about witches or Cas,” Rain said from the other side of the room, in the process of removing their makeup. “They should know better than that at this point.”
“Of course.” He kept staring at the ceiling. He could definitely defend Cas’s honor; he’d sing his praises to high heaven, if he believed in heaven. Oh, Cas… He missed him so much already. Their date couldn’t come any sooner. Where would they go? What would they do? Ah, it didn’t matter. As long as he was with his pequeno brujo…
Snapping fingers took him out of his thoughts. “Do your homework,” Rain said sternly. Alex pouted at her, but sat up and grabbed his laptop.

@Fenrir

instead of sleeping and resting up for the next day as he had promised, Cas spent the next hour fixing up the little care basket he had made for Alex and worrying himself half to death. He prayed the reverse love potion would work, or at the very least lessen the effects so that Alex could focus on what was important rather than solely his infatuation. Cas paused from arranging the tinsel strings he had buried up from his stash of trinkets and keepsakes. As much as Cas wanted all this to be real and true, he couldn't help but be reminded that all this wouldn't have happened without the love potion. Maybe they would have confessed, and maybe they'd be dating months down the line, maybe Cas would have been brave enough and come out of his shell to have told Alex his feelings first, or maybe, and most likely, none of this would have ever happened without a little push from some magic. It took essentially tricking Alex into drinking a love potion for Cas to be comfortable enough to admit his feelings for the vampire had had a crush on for ages, something everyone seemed to have noticed except to the person whom it mattered most to.
He set aside the basket, promising himself first thing in the morning that he'd finish sprucing it up before the date. And the first thing he'd do on the date was give Alex the potion. What happened afterward would simply have to play out, but at least the emotions, whether good or bad, wouldn't have the effects of a potion. All he knew was that he loved Alex. He wanted to be with him even after the potion to prove as much. He only hoped that Alex would give him another chance.
Cas made his way to bed near midnight, barely letting himself sink in before he was overtaken by blissful sleep.
Only to be awoken by his phone going off across the room a few minutes later. He groggily got up and stumbled over to find his glasses and phone by his desk.
"Rise and shine Cas! we gotta prepare for today!" read the text from Jeckle. Cas sometimes wondered if his friend was somehow a mutant of the vampire species, seeing as he was always so energetic in the early hours of the morning.

@Fenrir

(no worries at all, ngl I sorta forgot about this😅 take your time if you're still up for this rp at all)

@Tired-but-passionate

Alex managed to complete one assignment and start an essay, which he considered an accomplishment. Eventually it became too late to work, even for a vampire, at which point he started getting ready for bed, thinking of tomorrow and Cas all the while. Rain patiently listened to him ramble about his dearest love from her bed before soon dozing off. And eventually, even Alex had to stop as sleep overtook him.
If Jeckle ever texted Rain or Alex, they never saw it. They both slept into the later hours of the morning, like they usually did. When she woke, Rain was up and at ‘em, yawning as they went through their normal routine. Alex had to lay in bed and let his brain catch up with his body before he could start his day.

@Fenrir

"You're positive you're not a vampire?" Jeckle asked as he settled into the seat beside Cas who was resting his head on his arm and doodle in his notebook while eating lunch. "M'not a vampire, just tired." He replied, forcing himself to pick his head up and take a few bites of his left over breakfast from this morning
Jeckle narrowed his eyes and frowned "You did go to sleep after we left the store, right?"
Cas kept his gave on the pages of the notebook, suddenly now really interested in finishing his little doodle. "mhm, I just had to tidy up a few things…." he muttered quickly, flinching away as Jeckle lightly smacked him. "Cas! I told you to sleep! After all the magic you used, and how long we stayed up, you stayed up longer when you know you have morning classes" He chided, shaking his head and angrily biting into his sandwich.
"I know! But I wanted to ensure everything is perfect, especially if this is the last time we spend together." Cas put his face in his hands, having abandoned his breakfast and his sketch. "After he takes the potion and when it works, I'll be the last person he'll want to be around. And even if we do stay friends somehow, it won't be the same. I'll always be the witch who gave him a love potion and lead him on for a month (gonna pretend it's been longer than a week :3)."
Jeckle relaxed slightly and shook his head "How many times do we all have to say it, it's not your fault. I was the one who asked you to make the damn thing and then gave it to Alex. You just happened to be there at the right time. I don't think you led him on either. You like him, right? You both feel the same even without the potion. I don't see why he wouldn't want to be with you afterward." Jeckle reasoned, gently nudging Cas's shoulder in encouragement. "Maybe you should ask him what he thinks about all this instead of lamenting to me about it.

@Fenrir

(hi! It technically was for a week in the original plot but I think we extended it for at least a month to make it a bit more realistic when they fell in love)

@Fenrir

(no worries at all respond when you can. They're just hanging out in a dining hall in between classes)

@Tired-but-passionate

Soon Alex and Rain were both ready and out the door, which was becoming the usual at the point because Alex was quickly motivated into doing things if seeing Cas was the reward. Once they entered the dining hall, Alex was already scanning the crowds for his love. Rain tried to keep it subtle, but they were also looking for Jeckle. Once Cas was spotted, Alex made beeline for him. Rain followed behind.
“Pequeño brujo!” He smiled and wrapped Cas in a hug. Rain came, sat beside Jeckle, and quietly took his hand.

(Sorry it’s short)

@Fenrir

(no worries!)
Cas glance up and managed to sit up in time to catch Alex in a hug. "Hi, mi querido" Cas couldn't help but lean into the embrace, finding it unbelievably comfortable after a long night with barely any sleep.
He peeked up and gave a small wave to Rain, watching as Jeckle broke out into a smile and lacing their hands together. He caught Cas watching and nodded towards the basket beside Cas. The witch sighed and reluctantly pulled back from the high. "I actually have something for you. I was going to give it to you later at the cafe but I figured now would be best before the date." He put the basket between them, watching Alex carefully. "You can go back to normal. And in case you feel sick or something after there's a few things in there that should help." He explained pointing out each of the items. "And of course if you need anything else feel free to come by the store." Cas' gaze flickered between the basket and Alex, nervous he had somehow made things worse.
