(welcome back!)
“Glad I’m not claustrophobic on top of that.” he laughed softly, blushing brighter red when Isuel wrapped him in the blanket. It was sweet how much the larger male cared for Peter but there were still times when it surprised him. “Thank you.” Peter smiled as he was handed the steamed bun and started eating. Though he raised a brow at the sight of the fangs sticking out of his friend’s mouth before glancing up at the sky.
(Thank you!)
"Yeah, that's fair." He giggled a little. He smiled a little when he saw Peter blush more before gently poking his cheek. "You look like a cute little cherry tomato." He coos playfully. He munched at his snack happily once he was satisfied that his friend was taken care of. He always looked out for Peter, even if the others didn't notice. Peter was his closest friend. He told Peter things he didn't tell his moms. He had other friends, sure, but he always came back to Peter. "Whatcha thinking about?" He asks after a moment, noticing his friend staring up at the sky. It was very beautiful, but Iseul wondered what was going through Peter's mind.
(how did finals go?)
Peter half-heartedly smacked Iseul’s hand when he was teased. “You're not helping, you big lug.” he pointed out, not really upset with his friend. “I swear you're trying to make me blush.” he accused with a small playful smile. He knew how selfless his friend was and how Isuel always looked out for him. It was nice to have someone outside his family care for him this much, not that his mom was negligent or anything. Peter was just independent… Or tried to be but he didn't mind how his friend treated him. “Oh, I was just looking for the moon. I forgot what stage it's at.” he admitted. “I… I thought I saw… Well, it looked like you might have had fangs.”
(They came, they went, and I passed my classes lmao)
Iseul feigned hurt when his hand was smacked away, giving the best pout and puppy dog eyes that he could muster before giggling and stretching out into the grass and letting out a happy sigh. "It's almost as if that's the whole point." He looked so amused as he sat there, his eyes on the moon as he snacked away on the bun in his hands. He hummed and chuckled. "Uhhhh looks like a waning gibbous to me." He murmured offhandedly. He paused and moved his pinky to pick at his canines. "Huh. Well, I'll be damned. They definitely feel sharper." So far his theory looked to be correct, but he didn't want to believe it. No… more of he couldn't believe it. It didn't make sense to him. Like yeah- he got bitten by a wolf and his body has been going through a weird second puberty but that couldn't possibly be the reason. But if it was true, was he risking Peter's safety by telling him? What happened if he actually turned and accidentally hurt Peter? He didn't like the thought of that idea. Not in the slightest.
(Congratulations!)
Peter rolled his eyes at his friend's expression and gave an unconvincing pout when Isuel laid down, before leaning over to rest his head on the blond’s stomach. “Wish I could think of something to do to you to make you blush as easily.” he murmured. He nodded at the observation and sighed softly in a small sense of relief. “So we have plenty of time to get ready if… if you're right.” As much as he trusted Isuel, he didn't want his friend to be hurt. It wouldn't be safe for him if he really became… Peter winced slightly when the larger boy basically said that he hadn't been imagining things. “What do you think is going to happen next?”
(Thank you! How are you doing?)
Iseul chuckled softly and ran his hand through Peter's hair. "I suppose that's fair. Maybe I just don't blush easily?" He giggled quietly and relaxed. He hummed softly and nods. "Yeah, I guess you're right… But get ready for what, exactly? It's not like we have much to go off of." His face scrunched up in thought before he finished off his bun and looked back up at the stars. "I… am going to be completely honest. I don't know what's going to happen next." His voice cracked and he winced. He didn't like the thought of being scared of the unknown. He had always ben the confident one when things were going wrong. He had never felt like this before and it scared him to wits end. He wanted to be safe, and more importantly, he wanted Peter to be safe. "I guess we could do some research." He muttered quietly. "See what we can find and go from there. We already know werewolves turn on the full moon, but what else is there to know?" He asks quietly.
(looking for a new job 😬)
“I guess not.” Peter hummed softly, secretly loving having his hair messed with, and closed his eyes for a moment at the relaxing feeling. But he looked back up at his friend when he heard his voice break. He really didn't know what to do either. “I trust you.” he almost whispered, nodding at the idea of research. “You mean, as a fact? Cause there’s a bunch of monster movies and stuff about… werewolves.” he pointed out but not suggesting them as good sources of actual information. “Maybe we should just start by looking at wolves in general to get a baseline.”
(Oof- Good luck with that!)
Iseul continued to gently play with Peter's hair, his hands soft in the pretty strands. "I'm glad you trust me, but that's not what I'm worried about." He murmured sadly, his eyes shutting for a brief moment as he tried to relax. "I don't think we should take any of them as fact, but fiction comes from fact, right?" He asks gently, offering a tense smile. "Perhaps we can see if there's something that's common with them or something." He nods at the idea, "Just looking into wolves is also a good start. I just… I'm not sure what else to do at this point." He looked so lost and confused. His body ached constantly, and he often felt sick. He just didn't know what to do anymore.
(Thanks)
Peter hummed at the repeated action, smiling softly at his friend’s stressful tone trying to assure him. “I guess so.” he answered with a shrug. “I don't really watch horror stuff.” he reminded but he was glad that Isuel agreed with his suggestion. “Hey. We’ll figure it out.” he said firmly, patting the blond’s shoulder. Now that he knew what his friend was going through, or at least had a better idea of it, he wasn't going to let Isuel go through it alone. “I’m here.”
Iseul chuckled faintly and shook his head, "I know! I know that you don't watch horror stuff, so maybe I'll just look into that. Maybe you can look into wolves?" He offers softly, smiling at his friend. He could feel his anxiety lowering faintly now that he was talking things out with Peter. Peter always made the world feel better even when it felt like everything was going to shit. He could always rely on Peter and Peter would be there. He smiled when Peter patted his shoulder and relaxed, "I'm really glad you're here." He murmured, gently hugging his friend. He felt better now at least- that was a start.
Peter chuckled softly with him and nodded. “I can look into wolves. That's not a problem.” he agreed easily, smiling back. He was happy to help Isuel when his friend was feeling down. He was probably the nicest guy Peter knew and he didn't like seeing his friend upset. Of course, it happened. Life… sucked more often than it was nice in general. But if there was something he could do to help Isuel feel better, it made him feel all fuzzy inside. “Hey, I’m always here for you, man.” he assured as he returned the hug, almost disappearing in the embrace but he didn't mind since Isuel gave the best hugs.
Iseul released a breath he didn't even realize he was holding. "Thank you, really appreciate it." He murmured quietly. He felt better than he did before, and the ache in his leg was slowly starting to ease. He hugged Peter back tightly, not wanting to let go in the slightest. He liked giving Peter hugs, the other just fit in his arms so perfectly. He hummed as he slowly pulled back and glanced over at the other to make sure that he was okay before looking up at the stars. "I think for tonight though- let's just relax and hang out. Enough dreary stuff." He giggles softly.
“Anytime.” Peter nodded, sincerely glad that he was able to help. “But, yeah, let's just chill.” he agreed as the hug regrettably ended. He didn't mind talking with Isuel about… whatever it was that was going on with him but the idea of just relaxing and treating this night like any other time they had snuck out definitely sounded better. Besides, he figured that Isuel needed something more normal before things got weirder for him.
Iseul didn't to let go of the hug, but he didn't want to make it awkward between him and Peter. He sighed deeply and ran a hand through his hair before he dug through his bag and grabbed a small baggie of various sweets. "You want some?" He had nabbed some from his little stash in his room before running out of the house. He had also brought various games to keep them busy, more blankets for the tent, and a lantern so they weren't stuck in the dark of the forest.
Peter sat up a little when Isuel reached into his bag and smiled at the sight of the treats. “If you're sharing.” he teased since the blond always shared. He always had admired how prepared Isuel was when they spent the night like this but he was also usually well-packed. He pulled out a couple of water bottles, sometimes he even brought sodas, and offered one to his friend.
Iseul grinned, "Of course I'm sharing! Here." He offers the food to his friend. A few handmade goodies, as well as Peter's favorite snacks. "Help yourself!" Isuel liked making and bringing treats for Peter. He liked seeing Peter's smile. It was always assuring. He hummed as took the water gratefully and chugged half in one go before glancing up at the moon. He wanted to say something- but he wasn't sure what or even how to explain it. But he figured it would come to him later- hopefully.
Peter sat up a little as the snacks were passed to him. “Thanks, Iseul.” he smiled, taking one of the homemade options. It was no secret between the two that he was a big fan of Iseul’s cooking. It wasn't that Peter couldn't cook, he just made fairly standard quick and simple types of food. Besides, Iseul’s food tasted better.
He looked back at his friend and followed his gaze. “Something still on your mind?”
(do you want to continue this?)
(Yeah my bad! Last month was incredibly busy and so I didn't have a lot of time online! I'd love to continue this if you'd like!)
(I understand that. I would love to continue this with you.)
(Yay, sounds lovely! I'll get my response up shortly!)
Iseul grinned ear from ear when he heard Peter thank him. He nods and hummed, "Of course! I figured I should bring some goodies. You always look happy whenever you find out I've made something. I should make you my taste tester or something." He laughs gently and nibbles on the food thoughtfully. He shrugged helplessly at Peter's question. "I'm not sure how to word it. I wonder if there's something I could have done differently, or… If I could have avoided this. I know that now I have to deal with my consequences… but I'm still nervous. What if I'm overreacting, you know?"
Peter blushed when Isuel admitted to noticing how much he enjoyed his friend's cooking. “I wouldn't mind being your taste tester.” he murmured softly, nibbling at the treat.
He listened to Isuel’s answer and nodded. “Well, we both know you could have avoided it by not being there.” he chuckled lightly, only teasing his friend. “But if you're just overreacting, we’ll just laugh about it later. No need to be nervous about that.” he smiled a little. “Otherwise, we’ll deal with it.”
He laughs softly and moved to ruffle Peter's hair. "I would love to have you as my taste tester then." He looked genuinely pleased at how much his friend liked his food, it always made him so happy.
He paused and shrugged before laughing, "Yes yes, but you know me, I like to explore and see what's happening in the world!" He hummed and shrugged. "How are we going to deal with it though? I'm currently under the belief that I'm turning into a werewolf and there's nothing I can do about it." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "What am I supposed to do with that information?" He sighed deeply and shook his head. "Either way, I'll figure something out. I always do."
Peter blushed, smiling at the friendly gesture. Honestly, Isuel was the only person who he allowed to mess with his hair in years. Everyone else did it to mock his height but Isuel… was nice.
He chuckled with his friend and nodded. “Yeah, I know you.” he agreed easily, not blaming the larger man for his longing to explore. “But you don't have to figure it out on your own. I’ll help you figure things out. Including whether or not you are turning into a werewolf.” he reminded.
Iseul hummed faintly and ran a hand through his hair. "Indeed you know me… I'm glad I have you on my side. I'm really thankful for that. You've always been there for me." He hummed faintly as he leaned against the other in content. He liked playing with Peter's hair. It was always comforting. "I just hope that I'm having silly hallucinations and I'm just jumping to conclusions."
He tended to do that. Jump to conclusions. Peter was usually there to hold him back, make him think. But he had always been someone who acted in the moment and rarely thought about the consequences. That's how he had gotten into this whole mess anyways.
Peter smiled up at his friend, relaxing as Isuel cuddled him and played with his hair. “You've always been there for me too.” he reminded. “But I don't know if you're hallucinating unless I am too. I noticed your fangs first…” he trailed off, suddenly unsure if he should have mentioned that. “I don't know if that means you're actually turning into a werewolf or not. It could have been the lighting…”
