“ I! It's nothin!” he said and flushed red

"Your face has gone red. Is everything alright?" Kiibo asked, a hint of concern in his tone.

“Y.. Yeah in fine,” he said softly

Kiibo nodded. "I hope so. Just let me know if something's wrong. I'm here to help you."

“ Thanks,” he said softly and tucked some loose strands of hair behind his ear

Kiibo shook his head. "There's no need to thank me. I really just want to help because I care about you."

“ I care about you too..” he said way to casually

"I've noticed, as you appear to look out for me despite all the teasing, but yet, it surprises me that you said it directly," Kiibo stated. "You…trust me enough to be honest with me?"

“ yeah..” he said softly

Kiibo smiled softly. "I'm glad that you trust me so much. When did that start, though? It seems sudden."

“ it was a while ago”

"Ah, I must not have noticed since we have only interacted around other people," Kiibo replied. "Good to know you trust me, though. I'm glad that you can."

“ I'm glad you trust me,”

"It wasn't that hard once I realized that you were faking your whole personality…" Kiibo sighed softly. "It's concerning that you do, though. It implies that you have horrible trust and maybe other issues. Did someone hurt you in the past?"

“ I wouldn't tell you that..” he said and sighed “ that much I can't tell..”

"That only implies that things were not good for you in the past…" Kiibo sighed. "No need to worry, though. If it was family, you're away from them now. You're with me. You're safe now."

“ I wish that were true..”

"Huh?" Kiibo asked softly. "Why wouldn't you be safe here with me?"

“ my parents are crazy,” he said and sighed

"If they abused you, which I'm assuming they have, I am calling the police. What they're doing is illegal," Kiibo stated. "And once they're gone, you'll be safe. Well, you'll be safe with me either way. If they find you, I'll protect you!"

“ you can't call the police kiibo. You have no proof”

"I'll find it somehow! You're worried about them finding me, right?" he asked softly. "If they do come here, although I'd prefer that they don't, then that can prove something. I'm protecting you no matter what!"

“ o-okay kiibo”

"I can't see someone I care about be abused by their parents. It hurts to think about," Kiibo sighed softly. "If you need another sorta family, when we're not here, you could always stay with my dad and me. We could spend holidays and stuff together. You deserve better, you know."

“ Id like that..” he said softly

Kiibo nodded. "I'll let him know that you'll be joining us," he replied. "And then you'll know what it feels like to have a loving parent. My dad could've just made me for profit or fame, but no, he raised me like his son. He's a great guy. I think you'll like him. And if your parents are still an issue, my dad is an inventor, so he could easily help end that issue."

Kokichi laughed softly “ it sounds nice”

Kiibo smiled softly as he heard Kokichi laugh. "Aww, you laughed a bit. Glad I could cheer you up."

Kokichi flushed again and smiled

"Your face has gone a bit red again. Is it really due to what I'm saying?" Kiibo asked softly. "You seem to enjoy spending time with me, but I never thought that you felt that way about me… Maybe I'm just overthinking. I dunno what you feel, and feelings are confusing anyway."
