( alright, I'll go) eyros walked back from the ship, blue was waiting and ready. Almost a month ago the lions and their paladins had been founded and brought into a war that they had never known was even happening.
Eyros wondered how his home planet, naulda, was doing after he left with the blue lion.

(so. I think this is what's up. 4 of the lions have been found and matched with. I would assume their pilots all know each other and are together as a.force, searching for the black lion and a leader to pilot it. Rom and Eyros at least know each other. That's what I know.)
(I think 😅 )

Caleb stayed inside of his Green Lion, he was still getting used to the environment and the surroundings still seemed surreal. Though he was was adjusting better than he'd expected. He ran his hands along a wall panel, marveling at the lights that lit the floor, letting him see his way. The lion always seemed to somewhat anticipate his actions, though he was still working on fully attuning to it. Caleb stood on the ramp to the floor, still amazed at the whole size of the structure! It was an absolute technological marvel, that he was still currently trying to wrap his head around. His vision was somewhat obscured as his glasses slipped down, and he pushed them back up with an absent motion. He could see two lions docked at the moment and his naturally upturned lips curved downwards in a frown. They still weren't a complete unit. Eyes wide, Caleb considered walking over to the others, but he saw no need. For the moment he sat on the ramp, a dog-eared book in his hands, adjusting his glasses occasionally. He really needed new nose pads for his frames, but those could wait. He was too busy comparing actual space with what he read in Ender's Game, a small thing to amuse the quiet man.

Rom scrambled out from under the lion. He was covered in grease from his elbows down to his hands, and he had grease smears on his face. "Well, that's a good thing, I guess. And I've told you, you can call me Rom. Romulus is so stuffy." He grinned.
They'd only known each other for a little less than a month, so Rom didn't expect the crew to be familiar with him, but… he tried to be friendly anyway.

The red lion was very dismissive of Codie. How was he to deal with a temperamental machine? He didn’t know and didn’t care. About of all the other, he was sure he was the only one who didn’t want to be here. He resided next to the red lion, arms crossed accompanied with a sour face. He always tamed the controls, not the controls overriding his command. Shaking his head, Codie watched from afar as the others mingled, wondering how they could be so friendly when they just got here. He was not going to adjust well.

Eyros sighed, putting his hand on the blue lion's chest
“ you ever wonder why we were brought into this war, “ he asked and looked over to rom, his eyes looking as if he had been crying, “ or had it been someone else that they picked? Like, why us? What do we have that makes us so special?”

Rom was Not good with emotions. He had always dealt with problems using his fists. However, in the month since the lion had claimed him, he'd gained a level of loyalty to his teammates, even if most of them didn't particularly like him very much.
So he did his best.
"Buddy…I know why I'm here." He flexed his grease covered arms. He'd taken his shirt off while working, and his physique spoke for itself. "I'm a fighter. I'm here to help the lion bite and tear and eliminate the enemy." He smiled. "You? You're here for something else. Something that made your lion pick you to pilot it. Something that makes you a valuable part of this team." Rom's voice got quieter, just a tad. "If nothing else, I'd miss you if you were gone."

Leo opened a door, and accidentally walked in to what appeared to be a rather somber mood. Oh no, he thought to himself, I am not getting trapped in whatever is happening right now He turned to walk back through the door, when he looked back and saw a rather cute little man stood a little way off from the others. "Hey cutie." He said walking up to him, and flashing a smile.

Codie flinched when he heard the voice of another. He didn't exactly want to be here. Not a month ago, not now. But apparently he was important to this team, a piece in stopping a war. Codie was friendly, yes, but he didn't fit in. Not here. Others acted like college friends or busy in examining their lion to talk. He sighed, shifting his weight to his left leg. "Hi.." He muttered back, unsure of what to make of Leo. He seemed quite— enthusiastic.

Eyros looked over at the other man, his face flushed slightly against his pale skin “ id miss you too,” he said softly
Eyros kinda played paladin while also playing medic. So he thought that might be why the blue lion chose him

Rom smiled at Eyros. It had been slow progress over the last month, trying to build friendships with the guys the lions had picked, but maybe he was finally getting through a little.
He noted Leo walking over to Codie and wandered what the stray was up to. They'd picked him up a couple days ago, and he hadn't really introduced himself. The lion had just kinda told Romulus to take him with them, without really clarifying why.
But Rom was learning to listen to his lion, let it guide him. And it thought Leo was ok.
"Have you seen Caleb recently?" He asked. "I had a mod I wanted to ask him to look over." The tech genius had fixed one of Rom's ideas before, and he tried to run everything by the smarted paladin.

Codie shifted uncomfortably, his arms still crossed, inching away from Leo slightly. He was wary of strangers, but it might do him some good. He looked up at the red lion. Such an eyesore of a color red was, but it chose him for whatever reason— despite being very capricious for a machine. Shaking his head, Codie looked Leo up and down. "I'm Codie, and I don't understand why I was chosen by this lion. It doesn't make sense to me." He sighed, leaning against the lion's leg.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Codie picked up on Leo's grin. He couldn't make up his mind whether this guy was trustworthy or up to mischief. He ran a hand through his fluffy, black hair, pushing his bangs out of his face. "Thanks…" He murmured, trying to get an accurate and detailed read on Leo's plans. "I'm not sure. I just know the red one chose me. And I hate the color red."

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Codie shook his heads. “Red is blood. And blood is what is spilt upon battle fields. It’s was spilt when my sister nearly got beaten to death by her bully. Blood is what was spilt when my uncle was murdered. That’s why I don’t like the color red.” He turned away. “And I also don’t like chili peppers.” Codie didn’t know what his role was going to be in this group. Was he going to lead? Be fierce? The instinctual driving force? He had not clue. “What brings you over to me, Leo? I am not that—cute.” He needed to ask, his dusky gray eyes refracting the light.
