Circe stays on the ground for a few more moments while Aster speaks, her long nails digging into the ground with panic, her arms shaking.
This place was so unreal to her. So unfamiliar.
It was so scary to Circe. And what was she supposed to do? Act like she wasn't terrified of everything around her? Was she supposed to choose sides so quickly and run away?
Normally Circe wouldn't hesitate to run away from all of these beings immediately after threatening to rip their face off or filling their arteries with ants while they were still alive.
But not it looked like she only had two choices. Either run away with them-at least with the girl…or she could get caught by those people and they could do only Pariah knows what to her or with her. And that fact terrified her.
So when she hears their prosecutors catch up to them, she scampers to her feet in a panic and follows the girl, looking behind her for the man, not wanting him to follow. She hoped he would be brought to the ground by those horrible people. Though with how her luck was going right now, that wasn't probable.
"I didn't kill who they think i did" she says to the girl, though she was sure she wouldn't be able to understand Circe through her heavy and quick breaths as she ran, her bare feet beating on the ground with every step she took. Though her steps were light, as she was light herself, her steps were quick. And the quicker she run, the more her feet hurt. The more her lungs hurt and her throat quickly becomes dry and sore from her cold breaths.
