Ezah held her, picking her up gently and carrying her to bed

"Ezah.. I can walk." Mai said dozing off

“ sleep..”

"Only if you do." Mai said quietly

“ I will.”

"Promise?"

“ yes now go.to.sleep.”

Mia mumbled something in protest before falling asleep in ezah's arms

Ezah sighed happily, laying down with her in her arms. He curled around her happily

Mai subconsciously nuzzled closer to ezah holding onto him

Ezah slept till Mai got up

Mai slept for a good while before she jolted up crying "Haze!"

Ezah let haze take over “ hey! Hey! Hey! I got you!”

Mai wrapped haze in a tight hug and buried her face in his neck tears streaming down her face

“ Hey, what's going on?” he asked, concerned

"It…it was just a dream." Mai said sobbing

“ tell me about it so I can help love,”

"white had killed you.. I tried to help you but I couldn't."mai said quietly

Haze froze for a moment, “ I'm sorry. You shouldn't have seen that side of me..”

"I don't care about that I know you I know what you are and what you're capable of doing I just don't want anything to happen to you."

“ nothing will, I promise”

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you.."

“ no, I'm glad you did.. You needed me,” he said softly and rubbed from her back to the top of her stomach

"Mai cralled into to haze's lap and rested her head on his chest

Haze continued to comfort her, nestling into the crook of her neck

"I love you."

“I love you,” he mumbled

"Go ahead and go back to sleep I'm okay now."

“ no, I'm -” he yawned halfway through

"Haze..go to sleep."
