Sian kept his eyes on the path, not noticing Asra's staring. With his high cheekbones, long eyelashes, and full mouth, he was easily described as attractive if not a bit pale with an almost bluish tint. Although that wasn't his fault, that was simply what death looked like on a vampire.
" ive never seen you around.. did you just come to town?"
(Did your e key stop working?)
He shrugged one shoulder. "You could say that. I've just been looking around a bit, y'know. Maybe poking my nose where it doesn't belong but hey, what they don't know won't hurt them."
( yeah my fucking keys suck XD)
asra chuckled " good point" he said and smiled. " do you have a place to stay or-?"
"Ah, to some extent." If you call living in random attics and sheds a place to stay. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine."
" you sure? I've got an open room"
"Yes, I'm sure. Thank you though, that's very sweet." He chuckled with a smile. Besides, it's far safer if you're not around me.
" its the cabin up ahead," he said softly. asra lifted his head and looked out to it. their faces close as he tried to focus his tired eyes
Sian took a breath, hoping Asra wouldn't notice how cold his skin was. Death doesn't exactly make for a warm body. "Alright then. Will you need help from there?"
"probably but ill try and call someone "
"You sure? I can stick around if you really need me to." Plus I should get somewhere with shade before I start to burn.
" alright," he said and chuckled.
as they got into the house, asra hobbled around until he could find a kind of makeshift boot. " thank you.." he said and shut the blinds so only a light dinge of daylight entered
Sian nearly sighed in relief at that, rubbing his hands up and down his arms to check for any signs of damage and thankfully finding none. "Hey, it's no trouble."
"I mean, I'm sure I'm pretty heavy". he said and limped back over to the man "muffin?"
( asra still being as kind as possible is precious ;w;)
(Adorable)
Sian just laughed. "Oh please, you're light as a feather. But I will take a muffin, thank you."
asra sat beside him and got back to star charting. it was almost as if the ink glowed. maybe it was just the reflection of the light. the man seemed to enjoy drawing the delicate lines and points, printing his hearts desire onto paper
Sian quietly ate his muffin, watching Asra with an almost starry look of wonder. He was fascinated by human obsessions like this, it was one of the main reasons why he let Asra cross in and out of his territory so often without disturbance.
asra put his work up, yawned, and leaned back into the chair. closing his eyes as he enjoyed the silence
"Why do you have such an interest in the stars?" Sian mumbled through a mouthful of muffin.
" because they tell a story of how life will start an end once more. "
"Oh? And what's the story that you get from them? How will the world end?"
"I never said the world will end, I said life. " he corrected, " the stars tell different stories, many are incomplete. some like the gods, tell of their rise and fall and others tell of new ones coming to perch. I am no oracle, nor do I see as well as death but I try and listen just the same as a child telling his mother that he is not sleepy while she tells the story. " he paused, his silver eyes coming up to meet sians. " death is but a new journey starting. it's said that death walks among us in pale cold shades. I wouldn't mind one walking at my side, its a matter of changing my perspective of how they're seen"
You have no idea how right you are. "That's an interesting perspective. I've always loved the stars but the stories they held were always my own. I guess I was too young to realize they had stories of their own."
asra chuckled " i think so too. come out with me tonight, we could look at them together?" he proposed
"That sounds lovely. But please, you don't need to feel obligated to invite me, this is your passion."
"no its alright! there used to be a few of us who would go, but… they just.. disappeared.."
…oops. "Really? Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. Well, I can tell you this much, I won't disappear. At least not as easily."
he chuckled. " I'm sure you won't, so come on, sleep here, and ill wake you up around nine," he said and gave a soft smile.
