Baxtor stepped in, "We can discuss this another day, but not now. Not after what happen. Come one, I'm taking all three of you back to the manor." Baxtor walked down the hill to pick up Ben and take the three back down the path to the cauldron drop..
Farah continuously looked over her shoulder at the witches' ceremony. She continued to watch them until they were completely out of sight, and Saul even had to yank her out of the way of several objects so she wouldn't run into things as she watched them.
"Farah, do you mind filling your friends in on everything? I'm not feeling well." Baxtor said as he held his head up. He was completely overstimulated and exhausted after what happened. They reached to hole and Baxtor helped everyone up inside and back in the manor living area, where he collapsed on the nearest piece of furniture being a couch.
Farah hurried over and knelt at Baxtor's side. "Are you alright?" she asked worriedly. "Is there anything I can get you? Anything I can do? Could I get someone for you? Brooklyn, maybe?"
Saul stood behind her, supporting Ben – who's leg was nearly healed. He watched her with a touch of sadness in his gaze. It was clear that she loved it here… and if she chose to stay, where would that leave Alfea?
Baxtor smiled. "I'll be fine my dear. Just very tired… I'll talk to Emerisa ok? She's been through a lot in her past but I know her. She'll come around, trust me." The sound of heels echoed throughout the room, a 6'7 tall woman covered neck to ankles with tattoos walked down the stairs. She had neon blue hair with a gray streak and was wearing a bra and loose silk pants. She eyed the three strangers, but all ready new of Farah.
"Hello there, you must be Farah? These are your friends?"
Farah rose to her feet, suddenly feeling very small. "Yes, I'm Farah. This is Saul and Ben." She motioned to them, and they quickly averted their gazes respectfully. She looks beautiful, Farah couldn't help but think, and she quickly averted her gaze too by looking down at Baxtor. "Are you sure you're alright?"
Baxtor yawn. "Yes, I just…need…" He started to snore, which made the tall woman chuckle.
"And off to sleep he goes. I'm Lux." She noticed Farah getting flustered and decided to be a tease. She bent down to Farah's level, with her cleavage visible and gave a seductive smirk. "What's a cutie like you doing in a place?" She booped Farah's nose.
Farah instantly blushed. "Ah, um… we all, uh… We're from the, uh, the Otherworld, and…" She quickly trailed off desperately trying to keep her eyes off of Lux's cleavage. Oh gods, and in front of Saul too… Farah bit her lip. "In all honesty, I'm not entirely sure…"
"Are you alright? You seem…uncomfortable~" Lux keep teasing at Farah for a bit until she straightened her back, only her hourglass abs faced Farah. Brooklyn, Tiara, and Diamond started walking down the stairs.
Farah cleared her throat softly and shook her head. "I'm fine." She saw Brooklyn and Diamond, who she recognized immediately, and she thought the third girl looked familiar, but she'd been introduced to so many different people, it was hard to remember.
"Hey mom, we're ready to- oh! Hey Farah. We were about to head over to Night Market in Zona Quartz, think you guys wanna come?" Brooklyn said. All their on the girls were dressed in all black with different hints of color. Lux stood by the girls, smiling.
"Just let me get my bag and I'll be right back." Lux walk up stairs.
Farah's eyes widened. Lux was Brooklyn's mother? Fuck! She quickly looked away before glancing back slowly to address Brooklyn's question. "Ah, I'm not sure…" She glanced over at Ben and Saul. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt…"
"So, how was Hexa? Did you meet Emerisa?" Brooklyn said as the others started walking to the door. Lux cam back down with a holographic jacket, her hair now move into a braided ponytail showing the halves and under cut, and a tote bag with pride flags stitched on. Lux smiled, loving a good tease to a young woman. Baxtor never minded his partners being flirty, as long as they respect their poly rules he didn't really care.
The young mind fairy nodded. "Yes, I did," she answered, beginning to walk after them, but Saul gripped her wrist to stop her from following.
"Farah, where are you going?" he asked quietly. "You don't know what could be out there. We have to focus on finding Rosalind and getting back to the Otherworld."
Farah hesitated. "And… what if I want to stay here?"
Brookyln sighed. "I can tell you guys had a rough day. Why not take a break? Zona Quartz is a beautiful city and amazing people. You could rest up for the night if you want, but If you wanna come than do what you want. You're not hostages after all." She walked outside waiting for them to make there decision.
Farah pulled her wrist away from Saul. "I'm going. You can't stop me. I like it here. You and Ben can stay here." With that, she turned and followed the girls, letting her hair down from its strict updo as she went.
Outside was a sandy coast of purple sand lined up with a dark purple sea. Was this… lake Zona? The group walked to the edge of the island to a pair of sliding doors, no wall to be connected to. The manor itself looked to be 1000 years old, a tendered old home you would se in a horror movie. Brooklyn looked at Farah. "Listen, stay close to us. This pace will be a lot difrent." The sliding doors open up to a subway train, inside where…things. Floating eyes, hands, moons, and flowers as heads and holographic bodies, everything was in bright neon of pink purple and blue. As the five got on, the train started moving and flashing lights shimmered through the window.
Millie escorted Saul and Ben in there own rooms fitting they own aesthetics and advised them to rest.
Farah's eyes were huge, taking in every detail. She also made sure to stick close to her group, heeding Brooklyn's warning and staying close to the rest of the girls. "Where are we going again?" Farah asked, her face lighting up with the different colors of the passing lights.
After a while they all got off at a night market, tents and booths were lined up with all sorts of things to sell. Thr group started walking to an allyway and climbed up a latter to a rooftop, which display a beautiful view of the market and the night sky. Though you could tell, the neon aesthetic control sky to be a mixture of purple and blue. Day and nigh was meaningless here
Farah's jaw dropped, and her eyes widened at the sight. She stayed close to Brooklyn and Isabella. "Wow… this is amazing! How does it look like that? Is it magic or pigments or…" She trailed off, pretending like she hadn't been overthinking the composition of a fantastical world.
Along the sky were eyes with feathered wings and ladders of flowers high in the air. Everything was so out of the ordinary. "That's just the city's natural glow, I've live hear for 42 years and it has never once bore me." Lux said with a smile. The group got snacks from their bags and started to relax.
"Oh Farah, what are your pronouns? I completely forgot to ask." Brook said, pulling a container of cookies out from their bag.
"I can't imagine why," Farah murmured, entranced with the sights of the sky and the city below it. "42 years… I can't imagine living in such a place for that long."
She finally tore her gaze away from the sky at Brooklyn's question. "She and her," Farah replied with a soft smile. "It's alright."
Brooklyn passed everyone a monster can. "I'm gonna head out to shop for shoes, I'm taking Tiara and Dimand with me." She said as she pats Diamonds head. Lux waved them off sat Farah down with them.
"Mind telling me how you got here without staring at my tits?" Lux chuckled. "Really though, i need to know so I can help."
Farah took the can and looked at it curiously for a moment. She opened it with a hiss and took a sip as Brooklyn and the other girls left. She waved goodbye to them as well and took another sip from her drink as Lux began to talk. She nearly spat the liquid back into the can. "E-Excuse me?" she stammered.
"I saw, but don't worry I don't mind. I wanted this to be the moment where you can ask questions." Lux said a she picked up her drink and cracked open, looking down at the hundreds of monster, holograms, and creatures that are here know as civilians shopping for…what would you call a thing that didn't exist. "I know this whole situation is scary and all, but know that I'll fill you in on anything I can." She gave a warm smile, attempting to add ease to the stress Farah has already faced today.
Farah inhaled slowly and nodded. "Right, yes, um… thank you. It's all quite strange. I'm still getting used to it. But everything I've seen so far is lovely and brilliant. I'm not sure if I want to leave, but I know that Saul will want me to. He's non-magic, so I'm not sure he understands me in that aspect." She took another sip and winced a bit. "Uh, is it supposed to taste like this?"
Lux took a giant drink from the can and snickered. "Yes, it is. You see the thing about my family, about the lake you fell in. We take in children and teens, anyone really, who has attempted…to end it all. My family has made it sort of a mission to love and care for people who had terrible lives where they're from. Most of my kids are teens from Earth who had terrible parents, lived terrible lives and they attempted to end it all. We took them in and showed them that life is so much more than that.”
Lux looks down from the building to see the girls shopping at a nearby booth, specifically Brooklyn. “You see Brooklyn? She had a terrible home life with an alcoholic mother, an absent dad, and was in a very abusive relationship with a boy she thought loved her but I was using her as a dumb prank for years. She attempted to drown herself because she couldn't take the pain of being with him anymore and she appeared on shore of my Island. I took her in and she's like a daughter to me. Every single person that has come into our home has had a terrible past so we help shape them into creating a better future. I don't know what's going on in your world and I understand that you and your friends want to go back. If that's what you want we will try.” Lux almost began tearing up her eyes and began wiping her eyes on her glasses “Sorry, so sorry. Sometimes I get emotional. Nova taught me that.”
(Reviving this rp because it was a lot of fun)
(Sorry! I've been hella busy and only responding to a few rps because of that. But I should be more regular again! Again, so sorry!)
"I see," Farah murmured. She wasn't sure what else to say in response to it all. So Lux isn't Brooklyn's biological mother… she's not a biological mother to any of them. It must be nice, I suppose.
She chuckled a bit. "I'm not sure that Nova and I are on very good terms, currently, but I'd like to study the magic she possesses. It's Saul and Ben, my companions, who would like to go back to the Otherworld. But I'm not entirely sure… I suppose I should, because who knows what Rosalind is doing without anyone there to stop her…"
Lux shrugged. "Take it from me, I've grown to not care." They took a large swig of the energy drink, it taste like if fairy dust and flower crowns gave you an energy high. Sweet, but you couldn't tell. "Again, don't really know about your situation, but it sounds like you have a shit ton on your plate and the Rosalind person is the cause of it. Maybe you need to get away, since when was the responsibility of saving the world your issue?" Lux crisscrossed her legs and stretched her arms in the air, reveling a massive scar across her armpit to her love handles. It was slightly covered up by a collection of tattoos, but still visible.
