(Me) That’s funny. How do you get the reply in grey instead of the white box? I’ve been wondering that for a while now.
(Me) That’s funny. How do you get the reply in grey instead of the white box? I’ve been wondering that for a while now.
(Lucitius) “You can control your nature. I cannot.” He chuckled at that, humming a random tune.
(Shinsei) Try me!
(Nikushimi) This doesn't seem like the smartest thing.
(Me) This is going to be a battle for the ages. An immortal beast VS the fusion of two magical cats whose powers are both basically a fandom writing AUs.
(Also, I find the idea that they can hear us but can't see us like we're gods in the clouds hilarious.)
(I think you just put brackets around it.)
Deimos: Gives a soft snort, leaning back against the wall again
You haven't seen me completely unhinged
Besides, its hard for anyone or anything to control their basic instincts; survival
(Me) Here's Iolite, she's the trashed mascot of a fictional fast-food place (I haven't decided what they serve or are called for the record). She has killed someone before. She is inspired by a Drawfee video.
(Iolite) Sup.
(Me to RiverTheSeawing) I’ll research it later, just to be sure, but thanks for the suggestion.
(Lucitius) He shook his head eagerly, his hair giving off a sound like crackling glass. A deep laugh echoed from his throat.
“A fiery feline. Fascinating.”
His eyes gleamed with a strange hunger, like a combination of bloodthirst and euphoria.
(Me) Where’s the popcorn? This is getting intense.
(Shinsei) So, do you want to battle just me or my fusion? Do you want this to be fair or one-sided?
(Me) There's no holding Shinsei back, so I'm just going to lift the magic ban. What happens in the group chat stays in the group chat.
(Lucitius) “‘Death is a mercy to me. I care not, yet mine quarrel be with you.”
The lightning around his fingers, once glowing a soft blue, becomes a blinding white. He screeches, any mortal in earshot being frightened by the piercing cry. Massive translucent blue wings burst from his back, covering him in shadow.
(Me) I am enjoying the chaos of this whole storyline. To think, I thought this would be boring. I’ve obviously been proven very wrong.
Shinsei and Nikushimi fuse.
(Chōwa) Here I am. A powerful fusion here to fight.
(Me) By the way, before this fight begins, you might want to look up what those two kinetic abilities I listed are. Just saying for the IRL human creatures.
(Me) That’s cool. I kinda guessed Cytokinesis, but the Corpaekinesis, oof. Well, Lucitius is a master of lightning sorcery (manipulation of electricity, and in the powerful tiers, electromagnetics. He can basically blow up planets, though it’d probably kill him in the process as well). He also can naturally teleport, naturally immune to fire, has extremely fast regeneration, and knows quite alot of other magic (I honestly don’t know this part, I just improvise). The downside, he is not immune to pain and is, quite obviously, mentally unstable.
(Lucitius) “Pitiful that you must fuse to harness your full strength.”
(Chōwa) I don't, but I'd rather not leave Nikushimi out.
(Me) That's a lie, she actually does. However, I have to point out that she can even bring people back from the dead in this form. And I don't mean like Zombie style, I mean she can turn a ghost into a living person. She's a beast.
Fern has drawn a protective salt circle and has built a fire to make tea. This is gonna be fun.
(Me) Let me just grab the extra large popcorn… There we go. All I know, this is just too fascinating. Oh, and about that ‘bring back from dead’ part, Lucitius could technically qualify as similar to a revenant, or maybe half undead. Something like that.
(Lucitius) “Shall we begin?”
Lightning flashed from his fingers, snapping at the ground around his feet. A circle of electricity grew around him, arcing with eager little bolts. Electricity crawled up his wings, pulsing like veins.
(Chōwa) Of course!
She flew into the sky, readying her horn
(Iolite) I should open a popcorn stand for this…
(Me) It's going down tonight. Let me just magic me up some of that choco-raspberry popcorn.
(Lucitius) “Come to me, mine darling Death.”,he sang.
Lucitius leaped high, his enormous wings propelling him upward with great speed, chasing Chōwa. The electricity scattered across his body, caressing every scale with a light touch. His claws glowed with burning light, and he laughed maniacally.
(Me) Oh no, he’s singing! It’s never a good thing when he sings. Also, that phrase is the first line in an ancient poem of his race. It’s his favorite despite its very dark and sad tale.
(Chōwa) She shot a beam of magic at him
(Chōwa) What's the singing for?
(Me) Choco-Raspberry popcorn was definitely a good idea, though I'm wishing I had some IRL right about now.
Deimos: Has remained leaning against the wall, ignoring what was happening nearby
Such pointless violence…
(Me) Trust me, Chōwa isn't all violence. Neither is Shinsei. They're also psychological torture. Iolite is also a psychological torture person.
(Iolite) I know right. Violence is so much better when it has a point. Even then, I prefer psychological torture.
(Lucitius) “Hold mine hand, break mine will.”,he continued, ignoring her.
Lucitius rushed past Chōwa, flying ever higher, pulsing a wave of electricity. Though it was weak, barely enough to count as static, it was enough to cause turbulence above Chōwa.
(Me) I’m honestly not sure how to go with this battle, primarily regarding how the attacks hit. Or is this one of those where everything hits and it’s just describing the effect and how the wounded character copes? I’m up for suggestions.
Um, well, it seems I have the most violent character of the bunch. He’s a bit of a bulldozer, once started, can’t stop. And he doesn’t care what type of violence.
(Me) I mean, Chōwa is bound to try and end the battle pretty soon. She'll use a few normal hits, but still. Also, we can roll a die to see whether or not it hits.
(Chōwa) She fumbled on her wings a bit, but got her balance back
(Me) d20 like DnD or what?
(Lucitius) He continues to speed up higher, electricity arcing off of him in increasingly larger streaks
Me: Takes a lot to get Deimos triggered to be honest
Deimos: Huffs
I have no reason for violence less I am threatened, or my hunger strikes
(Me) Totally d20 DnD style. We'll do a roll for dodging and a roll for hitting.
(Chōwa) She blasted another beam of magic for his chest
(Me) I got a 9 for the hit.
(Me) Lucky Deimos!
12 for dodge
(Lucitius) He spins out of the beam’s way, clipping his wing. “Fool feline!” He holds his wings out, no longer flapping and simply falls, plummeting straight for Chōwa with claws outretched.
(Me) 8 to hit.
(Me) 17 for dodge
(Chōwa) She aimed another beam of magic at him.
(Me) 18 for hit
(Me) Oh, this is going to suck. 7 for dodge.
(Lucitius) He growls in rage at missing, then shrieks as the beam hits him. He flaps his wings to stop his fall, throwing a ball of arcing electricity at Chōwa.
(Me) 13 to hit. What are the effects of the beams?
(Me) This beam isn't from Shinsei's magic, it's from Nikushimi's. It's basically just a long-range attack. It's nothing to worry about, just painful.
Also, 19 to dodge (I don't know why my numbers just keep going up. I swear I'm not cheating.)
(Chōwa) She fires another magic beam, this one is laced with ice. This makes its target freeze for a minute and feel cold a few seconds after the freeze.
(Me) 8 to hit. I broke the high streak.
Deimos: Shifts his head, hidden gaze landing on the shadows nearby him, a sudden blade resting near his shoulder
Relax reaper dragon, I have been behaving myself
???: Shadows dispersing, revealing what appears to be a young man, except a serpentine tail attached to his spine
A surprise, considering you could devour all the present souls here
Deimos: I doubt the god of death sent you to seek me out Vokun'viing
Some souls got away, didn't they?
(Me) 11 for dodge
(Lucitius) He screeches angrily. He rushes upward again, a massive wing aimed to slam Chōwa.
(Me) 16 to hit. Ooh, a mystery fellows comes hither.
