Okay, how do we wanna start this off then?

Well they are criminals on the run and they meet at the house. If the house is essentially an older house with secrets rooms, servants halls, and similar stuff, maybe we can say that they found the place and claimed a section each. Only realising there were others in the house when they bumped into them or something

We can also say that someone told one of our characters about a "safehouse" with hidden stairs and rooms that could protect them from the cops. The other characters could overhear and follow.

Maybe they were all in the same jail and escaped together a while back but had to split up because of the cops. The house is one of theirs but they never came here because it was on the outskirts of a small town. They split up but decide to meet up ar the house. Time goes on and they finally do get to the house but don't know who else is there because they haven't talked to each others then stuff happens

We can choose one of those ideas or come up with something totally different

It wouldn't really make sense for them to break out together I don't think, just because motives are so different. Plus, we would be able to write first meetings then.
I kinda like the idea of them all finding out about the safe house, either from some eavesdropped conversation or maybe they all got a mysterious letter from someone?
Love the idea of weird stuff in the house like servants, large halls, etc. Maybe it's one of those things where it looks way smaller on the outside than it is on the inside, but in a magical sort of way?

They do get powers after staying there for long, and I already have an idea for how I'm going to write Caspian's response to his powers, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to say the house looked bigger than it seems

I think the eavesdropping one is the one that would work best with everything. Are we going to write about them breaking out or are we going to start when they're on the run?

(Also I lowkey want to sketch a floor plan for this house so I might do that)

It might be easier to go ahead and put them on the run so we can go ahead and get into the house, but that's just my thought. Either one should be fine though.

This is the house from Locke and Key (tbh i thought it was cooler than it is) but the surrounding area has a big forest and a dort road leading to the town, school etc.

This is a house i found on Google that matches the "fullness" of the house in my mind and I really like the way the landscape is surrounding the house
Thisis another house that appealed to me because of all the towers.

I was thinking of having a rooftop garden(because why not), a lil lab in a basement, and rooms in the towers kinda like an observatory. The outside of the house will obviously have vines, weeds, cracked windows, and birds nests because its been abandoned, and the I side will probably have older appliances like gas stove and have wooden appliances

Oooh those actually sound like some reay neat ideas. Love rooftop gardens for one thing. And uhhhh, catch Galen basically living in the lab lmao

I thought of the basement lab and immediately wanted to make Cas a chemistry student but idk, it doesn't really go with his whole vibe. I like the idea of him being a student but maybe I might just give him a Klaus from ASUF vibe where he gets knowledge from books

Him being skilled in gardening and agriculture fits his dancer vibe, a little soft spot, but he specialises in growing poisonous plants

Did you guys want to get started, or do we need to do more planning first?

Well I wanted to do a blueprint if the house, but that's more of a personal thing and I can do that while we rp

Oh yeah, I forgot about that! If you want to have some of it done before we start, we can wait. I think we're still waiting to make sure everyone is ready anyway.

I haven't even gotten around to sketching the basic idea yet 😂 if there is something specific, like a room for specific purposes or a hidden something you want, I have no problem adding it! I know this will be inspired by medival times but has been renovated a few times so there might like, a training room or a mini armory, but also more modern things like a computer room (with high speed wifi) and new tools (but old appliances).
I also want a library/study because those are rare in modern houses and I always wanted a library in my house

We can start though, it'll take me a while to complete ut

I love all of those ideas! And I'll let you know if I have anything that I think would be cool to add, but I don't have any ideas at the moment.

Alright! I'm going to make a list of stuff I want and sketch a rough idea of what I want it to look like, but we can definitely start this!

I'll be around. At my grandparents and might go to the beach later if this damn weather will clear up, but I'm otherwise available.

I could maybe post a starter, except I'm not completely sure how to start. I'm on the beach though so I'll be on and off for the next hour or so.

Well we were going to start off with them on the run, does the mean literally running from cops or hiding out of plain sight and coming to the house to hide out?

Good question. Uhhh, maybe that hiding in plain sight? And for some of them, that may end in running from the cops.

I have an idea for how I'm going to introduce Caspian so whenever we start, I'll post my starter too

(Oop, got caught up in artfight shit- Aaanyway. Here goes.)
Galen had been searching for a few days now. There was a safe house somewhere near here, supposedly. But again, just supposedly. He was afraid he wouldn't be able to hide long. After all, Galen was easy to spot, and that was really his own fault. When he got all his tattoos and piercings, he hadn't anticipated that he would ever be running from the law. He was not a bad person. He just did something super illegal while trying to help others. While he knew the risks, he wasn't keen on accepting his punishment.
In the meantime, Galen wore a gray turtleneck to cover all the markings on his arms, chest, and neck, and he had removed most of his piercings for the time being, just to blend in. Yet, he wasn't much closer to finding this godforsaken safe house.
As he walked down the street, Galen heard the wailing of sirens, and it made him flinch. They probably weren't after him, so he took a deep breath and did his best to continue on his way, to not make a scene. But as the sirens drew closer, his discomfort grew.

(Not a problem, I went to bed yesterday at 11 and woke up 12 hours later, I was supposed be up at 8)

Sounds of music and laughter surrounded Caspian as he made his way through the farmer's market. It was a fairly warm day but there were still clouds dotting the pale blue sky. Caspian was drawn to the smell of fresh bread and homemade jam coming from one of the stalls, he had a few coins jingling in the pocket of his tan pants and could not resist it. Once he stopped at the table he took in everything spread out and quickly asked for his order to be bagged in an even voice.

It was while he was waiting, leaning on the stall, that he felt someone's eyes on him. Slowly turning his head to look behind him, he saw a group of young boys, probably teenagers, pointing at him and whispering. OK, time to leave this place. Caspian fixed the cream coloured collar poking through his fern green shirt, grabbed his bag of bread and walked out of the boys line of sight. He walked in a quick pace until he reached an alleyway then wove in and out of the Allen's until he felt he was safe. This was where he was staying, in the abandoned shed of a run down house in which a frail old man lived.

He picked up the backpack and grabbed any of the things scattered on the floor he deemed important. As he was jumping out of the shed for the last time, he heard a siren wailing nearby. He stayed hidden in the grass until the ambulance passed by, then breathed a sigh of relief. He knew there was a safehouse nearby, one of his prison mates told him and his sister about it. Caspian smiled, it had been some time since he thought about his sister. He wondered how she was after they broke out and went on the run. He started walking towards the edge of the town, still thinking about Callisto.
