Noctune followed the others into the cafe and took a seat next to Lars, crossing her right leg over her left once she sat down. She remained silent argument-wise; she didn't wanna get involved. Sure, it would be nice for her to pitch in with the payment, but she knew that the argument would just last longer if she chimed in at this point. "Lars makes a fair point," Noctune said. She tapped her finger against her thigh; or, at least, that's what it looked like- it was hard to tell because of her oversized cloak.

(So Lars or Noctune are going to discover the wallet, right?)
"Oh shush all of you, this is my treat," She replied, rolling her eyes once more, "You all came from much too far away for me to make you pay anything. And plus, I've had more than enough of a steady income these past years, I want to pay alright?"
Eudora seemed to not want to take no for an answer as she slid next to Haisley, taking the last menu and scanning over it even though she knew exactly what she wanted. This was a place she came to frequently, and she never strayed from her usual order, no matter the time of day. All she had to wait for was the other's decisions and one of the waitstaff to come take their orders.

Lars smiled briefly at Noctune with a grateful nod for agreeing with him, but that quickly turned to a sigh of mild annoyance when Eudora continued to insist on paying. “Dora, darling. While we are all glad to hear that you have a steady, well-paying job for this point in time, I would like to say that you are not alone in this.” he reminded her, trying not to sound arrogant. After all, he had been in full support of women’s rights even back before they became so public. But as far as money, he was sure they all had some stock on that old Caribbean tomcat’s greatest accomplishment. “I’ll tell you what, we’ll flip for it. Heads I pay, tails the check is yours.” he suggested as he felt his need for caffeine rise again. Without waiting for her response, Lars reached habitually for his wallet… Only to be puzzled when the billfold he held up wasn't his.

"You know, you guys thinking your paying is cute and all, but its not happening." did she just call them cute? yes she did, is she gonna take it back? not at all, or maybe she will who can predict the future? :))) she was gonna wait for the bill to come out then secretly pay for it while they argued over who was gonna pay, it was the perfect plan really.
"Huh? that dosent look like your wallet lars, i didnt know you started pick pocketing?…"

Eudora rolled her eyes and fake scowled at Lars, "I've waited centuries to be able to pay for a meal for all of us, you paid last time we met up, remember? This is one of the only centuries it's acceptable for me to pay, so I'm paying." She folded up her menu and slid it to the end of the table, looking up in time to see a wallet that definitely wasn't Lars'. A look of confusion crossed her face as she spoke once more, "I have to agree with Haisley on this one…you're not one to pickpocket Lars."

Lars shook his head at the girls before chuckling. “I know the word larceny came from my name but I haven't picked anyone since the Depression. I swear I just found this.” he said, debating on opening it. “Chances are whoever was here before us just misplaced it. And considering how good my job pays, I have no intention of keeping this. But if you're going to keep insisting on the bill… Well, I guess I'll relent this time.” he sighed as he rubbed his forehead. “And Haisley, you should know by now… I’m not cute, that's you ladies. I, on the other hand, am devilishly handsome, thank you very much.” he smirked in his usual way as he slicked his hair back with his hand and winking.

she raised an eyebrow, "uh huh i believe you Lars." she watched him as he spoke, loking for anything on him that could show he was lying, and from what she found, he just wasnt lying. "how are you gonna find the owner, what if theres no ID in it?"' she asked, leaning back in her chair as she continued to watch him.
"Oh sure Lars ever heard of Devilishly cute and handsome?" she mostly joked, not usually a one for flirting, but she figured why not.

(Ah! Sorry guys. I lost this for a bit. 😅)

“Well, this time, I’m going to keep my head down if there's no ID in it.” Lars chuckled lightly. “I’ll just turn it into our waiter and they can hold on to it until the owner comes back to claim it.” he answered as he finally opened the wallet to check if there was an ID or not in the mysterious wallet.
