"Yeah, my parents wanted something different." Pumping her legs back and forth, Everest goes higher. What do I say? She thought for a moment before coming to a sudden stop. "Come with me. I have an idea." She had a bit of a mischievous grin on her face. He was about to know more about her. Everest and her spontaneous ideas. She stood and started to run to the back of the playground. The sound of rushing water filled her ears. She loved the sound. Something she always loved doing was play in the creek, especially on a summer day. "Let's cool off, what do you say?" She turned a gave him a smile. It was best her knew about this part of her sooner rather then later. Even if Gus wasn't going to join she was going in. The water was cool, but not cold. Everest was glad she wore shorts today. This was sort of a test for him, she wanted to see how he would react to her adventurous behavior.

Gus's brows shot up a bit as she ran over to the creek. He fumbled to get off of the swing he was on and nearly tripped over nothing before hurrying after her. He stopped at the creekside, looking down at the shallow water. He couldn't swim, but this water was far too shallow for that to be a problem, anyway. His face flushed when she smiled at him, and he smiled awkwardly in return. He wasn't good at this. This being interacting with the person who was apparently his soulmate. Which, to be fair, he wasn't good at anything.
"Okay." Gus wasn't dressed for splashing around in the creek, honestly, but he didn't let that stop him from stepping out onto some of the stones that poked up out of the water. He just hoped he didn't wipe out and crack a tailbone on the creek's rocky floor. That would not be a good first impression.
