Cassara ran around the kitchen, barking orders at her crew. The smells of food and drinks filled the room, overwhelming her. But Cass got used to it, she always did.
"Cass, somebody wants to meet with you," said a voice from the kitchen door. Cass wiped her hands on her apron and hung it up. When somebody wants to see the chef, it's usually to compliment the food. She sighed, tired of meeting people, and walked out the door.
It was the first time she got a good look at the ballroom. Red illuminated the room in an eerie light, reflecting off of golden chandeliers. A band played in the back of the room, and in the corner were poker games and pool tables. The rest of the room was either the dance floor or filled with tables lined with red tablecloths and gold plates and wine glasses.
It was a bit much for Cass. By the time she had reached the beaming man looking to compliment her, she had had several glasses of wine and assorted cakes pushed at her. Cass rushes out of the party, and went back to where she felt comfotable. The kitchen.

(Sorry, it's quick and short. I've been so busy)

Martin sat at one of the tables littering the room, doing his best to smile and nod at whatever people were saying. He had been to many of these parties and frankly they never got more interesting than the 70s. Making out with Elton John on a hotel rooftop wasn’t exactly something you forget. He wasn’t sure why he was invited but he also didn’t know what or who the party was for but he had learned not to question it. All the beautiful people were there, shaking hands and sipping wine as if it was all they could do. He had picked at the dinner but everyone else seemed to enjoy it so he did his best to fake it. He even went as far as to call out the chef to complement her. Poor girl. Something about her had seemed a bit off but the noise and hustle from the party had thrown off his senses. Everyone at the table started laughing so he joined in, eager to leave early but with a good reputation. Vampires may be nocturnal but at over 100 beauty sleep isn’t optional.

Eclipse let out a long sigh as he picked at his dinner, watching the room from his chosen spot at a table on the outer fringes. He didn't like these parties, and he definitely didn't like people all that much either. In fact all he really wanted right now was to get this over with and return to his house and his cats. But no, for now he was stuck here until he could get the chane to sli the vial of poison that was hidden in his pocket into the drink of one of the many rich people that were here. He smirked a little at the thought of the confusion and alarm that would erupt later when the man dropped dead.
But until then he would try to enjoy the food, making a mental note to compliment the chef later.

If she wasn't being paid so much for this job, she would've walked out hours ago. Loud, fancy gatherings weren't exactly her favorite. As she roamed about the ballroom, fixing orders and talking to the guests, she started to take notice of a couple of people. Cass had a knack for picking out the loners, the people who didn't want to be here. Although, she never understood why you'd go to a party if you didn't want to be there, even after a couple of hundred years of doing this.
She felt like them. All she wanted to do was go back to working at the diner. No loud music, no drunk men, no snobby, rich, fancy people. What would happen if I quit, right here, right now? She seriously considered it, while absent-mindedly sipping some drink and listen to a group of women talk up her food. Cass wished something would happen that'd let her escape from here. Anything, something… please, she silently prayed to somebody or something. She didn't really know much about that kind of stuff.
