Just then Belarus and Poland came home.

America sighed and sat beside Ukraine. He drew his knees up to his chest and hugged them, hiding his face in them as well.

Ukraine put her arm around america "it's ok……. Russia has been though worse……….."

"D-Does he hate me?" He asked in a muffled voice, keeping his face hidden. "He never wants to talk to me, a-and he just wants to push me away… w-what am I doing wrong?"

She calmly says "nothing…….. He doesn't hate you………."

"How do you know? He… h-he keeps leaving…"

"……He's just like that sometimes"

"B-But why? He knows I just want to talk to him and help him but he's just leaving whenever I try!"

"He just wants space"

America was quiet for a while. "Ukraine… c-can I tell you something?"

"Yeah……"

"I-I think I… might like Russia… is that weird?"

" No nothings weird about that……"

"…Do you think he likes me too? M-Maybe that's why he's so quiet… or why he willingly hugged me."

she smiled and patted Americas shoulder.

"I should just leave him alone for now… h-he obviously wants space. Aren't Belarus and Poland home?"

she nodded.

"I should leave them alone too… m-maybe I'll just go home." America stood up unsteadily. "I know when I'm not wanted."

she grabbed his arm "your wanted, you could go to the beach with us and meet some of Russia's and our relatives, they're not mad or need space….."

America looked down at Ukraine. "…Are you sure? I-I wouldn't want to intrude in a family gathering."

"Alright… I guess I'll join you. When are you leaving?"

" 30 minutes"

America nodded and helped Ukraine to her feet. "I suppose we should go see Belarus and Poland?"

"Yup" They want down stairs she waved at Belarus and Poland " Hi!" they replied

America waved back tiredly. His face was still a bit red from crying, but he'd otherwise pulled himself together.

Belarus " now we have to make piroshki and stuff, ehhh America you don't have to do this make the food" "I'm making the potato salad " said Poland

"I don't know how to make piro… whatever, but I could bring other food if you want."
