"Don't pretend like this doesn't bother you," he nearly scolded. "I know you better than that. I can see through it,"

"Ryan, of course it bothers me. But what are we supposed to do about it? There's no point in worrying about something I can't do anything about."

"And what about you? You don't feel like somethings off? You're no moral. What are you keeping from me that I should be worried about?" Ryan's voice became clearer with every word.

"You know I feel like something's off. Ryan, we're parents now. Of course I'm going to be worried since there's so much more at stake. I'm scared for Matt and Delilah."

"You're deflecting," Ryan said a little more quietly. He didn't want to fight but he grasped the reality of the situation, "We have a common goal, protect the kids. I don't want what I don't know to hurt them is all I'm saying too. We're both worried,"

Darren smiled and raised his sword as if he was going to attack her, "In a fight you aren't going to have time to stand around and stare, you have to analyze while you fight. If you find a weak point, use it to your advantage. Strike it or something," One good hit to the knee would be enough to cause him to stumble.

Lillian gave a quick nod before going to strike towards the back. If he was going to let his leg hang so far back, there had to be a reason for it right?

Lillian gave a quick nod before going to strike towards the back. If he was going to let his leg hang so far back, there had to be a reason for it right?

Darren tripped over himself, wincing slightly. "You're a quick learner, I've always loved that,"

"Well the only thing we can really do is wait and see what happens. It's not like we know what's going on nor can we go to someone and find out so what are we supposed to do?"

"You're still deflecting," Ryan pushed himself to his feet, wavering slightly. His legs were weak but he couldn't grab for support. He was too focused on holding his daughter.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Belle reached out to steady him, keeping Matthew securely in her grip.

"Let's hope you don't," Ryan was on edge and Convel's aggression still ran through his veins.

"Are you doing okay? You seem…tense." Belle got to her feet, rubbing Ryan's shoulder slowly.

"I'm not–" Ryan realized his voice was raised and started again, "I'm not tense, I'm just… feeling a bit out of control,"

"I can tell you are but Ryan, sugar, it'll be okay. I know we'll be alright. And sometimes holding onto that is all you can really do."

"Am I wrong to think you're hiding something?" Ryan grew serious. "I trust you, is that misplaced?"

"No, Ryan that's not it. What do I have to hide?" Honestly, Belle was confused. Was there something to be suspicious of?
(Is there?? Because I don't remember)

Ryan thought on this for only a second before carrying on as though nothing happened. "I found a babysitter," She hoped she wouldn't be upset, he read that mothers have a difficult time leaving their children for the first several months.

Belle stared at Ryan for a second before shaking her head and moving on. "A babysitter? Really? Well, that'll be convenient but for now I think I'd like to be the one taking care of my kids."

"I know. I just uh…" Ryan looked at his feet nervously, "I don't think I ever asked you on a date, we just kinda… fucked and moved on," Ryan could feel his face turning red, he wasn't the openly romantic type. "I though maybe tonight… If you'd want to," He began stumbling over his words.

Belle kissed Ryan's cheek with a loving smile. "Sugar, I'd love nothing more. A date sounds wonderful."

Lillian flashed him a smile before offering him a helping hand, "I kinda have to be one, but if you love it at least now I have a reason."

"It was sarcasm," Darren took her hand and pulled himself up. "But I think you're ready enough…"

(Pfft, I wish that was less true. The first date they really went on was when he proposed on her birthday)

Ryan was as giddy as a child, "Great because the fair is in town and… well only if you want to,"

"Ryan, I'd love to go to the fair! Maybe we could find a nice couple of plushies for the twins to play with. Besides, it'll be nice to be out like a normal couple again."

"We're always normal," Ryan joked. "We'll go later tonight… but for now, we must fill our day. What do you want to do?"

Lillian flashed him a smile before offering him a helping hand, "I kinda have to be one, but if you love it at least now I have a reason."

"It was sarcasm," Darren took her hand and pulled himself up. "But I think you're ready enough…"

"Aww and here I was thinking you were thanking me for knocking you on your ass," Lillian laughed before she glanced at him doubtingly, "You really think so?"
