His walking pace sped up, his eyes trained on her until one of the children made a noise. He stopped and turned his attention towards them.
Her heart almost stopped. Please Ryan…please stay in control at least a little… There wasn't much she could do but hope and pray.
Convel walked over to the crib and jumped so his front paws were over the side and he could see over. He let out a small, playful bark. All of the aggression was wiped out of him. He could sense that these babies were his.
Lillian laughed a little before going to lean into his hug, "Hmmm maybe you can hug my vibe back into place."
"You know, it's quite possible that if I hold you here long enough, you'll stop being sad,"
"Doubt it, but your free to try," Lillian laughed again.
(Sorry I died again today)
"We need to get out of here… well… I need to get out of here," He sighed. "You can talk to Bal, he listens just as well as I do and honestly he needs someone to talk to… I can hear you even if you can't hear me,"
(It's fine. Probably for the best tbh. I did not need another distraction.)
(What were you up to today?)
"Okay," Lillian let out a little sigh, "Well, um, I love you. A lot."
(Homework or at least I was supposed to be)
"I love you too." He pulled out of the hug. "I might have you stay with… a friend?" he hesitated on almost every word of that sentence.
Lillian looked at him hesitantly. She didn't want to leave him, especially not now, "What do you mean stay with a friend?"
"I need to find Shaxx and I don't want to put you in more danger than I have to so you can either come with or stay with this… friend…"
"And I can't- I'm not letting you out of my sight again," Lillian told him softly, "So I'm going with you."
"I understand… but if something happens to you I swear–" he sighed. "We should get going then,"
"Okay, lead the way then," Lillian said to him.
He leaned in and kissed her like he might never see her again. His arms still wrapped her tightly.
Lillian kissed him back desperately. She pushed up against him happily.

She let out a sigh of relief. Thank the heavens… She returned to the crib, watching the twins wake up from their nap with a smile.
Convel sat at Belle's feet and barked at her. It was the first time he had gotten to meet his children.
She pulled her eyes away to acknowledge him. "Oh right, you haven't met them yet." She laughed. "These are the twins. Aren't they just precious?"
Convel reached his head in and picked Matthew up with his teeth by the childs shirt. He placed him on the floor gently and licked his face.

Darren pulled back and looked at her with a smile. "Don't miss me too much,"
Lillian gave him a smile though it was tainted with sadness, "I'll try not to."

The child stared up at him, confused. But it didn't take long for him to start babbling out laughter from the sensation of being licked.

"You look like you already miss me… you broke rule numero uno,"

Convel's eyes glowed for a brief moment before dimming back to normal. Matthew's eyes echoed his, returning to normal just as quickly as they turned on.
"I'm sorry," Lillian let out a sorrow filled laugh, "I can't really help it."
