At some point during the night, Bal must've allowed himself to turn. Darren's head was rested on the table as he snored softly.
Lillian rolled over and saw Darren sleeping on the table. She hesitated for a moment before smiling and pushing herself off the bed. She made her way over to where he was.
Darren groaned though he was still asleep and shifted slightly.
Lillian was so hesistant and careful when she tapped his shoulder.
He gasped and sat straight up in his seat but immediately relaxed. "Mornin," he said in the same groggy tone he always had.
"Morning," Lillian responded a smiling pulling on her face. Darren was here today, "How are you?"
"My body hurts, my brain hurts, and I don't have a shirt,"
"I only really know how to fix one of those problems," Lillian replied with a laugh.
"Really? Because I have a solution to almost none of them," He retorted as he rose to his feet.
"I'm sure you can fix your shirt problem, just put on a shirt." Lillian stepped away from him as he stood up.
"I don't have a shirt," he walked over to the cabinet Bal hung his robes, "I could wear these but something tells me they'll be a bit big,"
"Oh, okay so I guess we can't really solve any of your problems," Lillian said spotting the robes.
"I'm not sure how long I can stay," His smile faded, "I just need to talk to you,"
"Then talk," Lillian told him, "I'll listen or respond or whatever you need me to do."
"There's something going on and I don't know who's responsible but I know this is going to be dangerous for both of us. I need you to know that I'm not leaving you. You are the strongest person I've ever met and I need that.. I need you. Okay?" He was talking so fast, as if he didn't have time to say everything he needed to.
Lillian was taking in everything he was saying even if it did come out quickly. She gave him a little smile, "Okay. I won't leave you if I can't help it."
"Whatever this is, it's powerful. I don't know who's all being affected by it but it's going to take every single one of us to stop it when the time comes. That includes you,"
"I, I'll try my best," Lillian replied. Out of everyone around her, she was just a normal person. Yeah, she used to have abilities, but now she was just plain old Lillian Phoenix.
(Hi, sorry. I'm not feeling well)
"Your vibe is off," Darren commented as he eyed her.
(No that's fine.)
Lillian let out a short laugh, "What do you mean by that?"
(It's not corona lol. Don't worry. I have a migraine and i had to get off my computer because I had a blind spot and then I got really nauseous and I had to call my girlfriend it was a whole situation but I' m kinda here now)
"I mean something is off with you. I don't know what it is but I swear to god I will hug you until you figure it out,"
(That's good. Migraine's suck a whole bunch.)
"You'll have to be more specific," Lillian replied pushing down her negative feelings again, "Becuase there's a lot of things wrong or off about me."
(Yeah. I took so many advil I hope I don't like OD or something,)
"I don't know what to tell you babe, your vibe is just off. I don't know what's going on but.." He smiled to show he was joking with before wrapping her in a hug.
(Hopefully you don't.)
Lillian laughed a little before going to lean into his hug, "Hmmm maybe you can hug my vibe back into place."
