"Oh great" said Firiko, " and Knocking yourself out cold is the only way to stop it?"
"Oh great" said Firiko, " and Knocking yourself out cold is the only way to stop it?"
“Well, yeah. It’s that or get really, really sick.”
"Forget it" said Firiko, "I think I might be able to fix your problem" he said it as he summoned a ball of silver Aura. He moved his hand in a circle a couple of times, creating a magic circle. casting it to the floor he focused his aura, pulling out a small stone. "This'll solve your issue" he said.
“Alastair’s Magic is more powerful than anyone I’ve ever heard of. I doubt that you’ll be able even put a dent in it.” Reed said
"Who said I was gonna attack his magic" said Firiko throwing the stone into the circle. "I summon Lithalis! Hear my call!!" he spoke the words loud and clear.
The magic circle pulsed, and suddenly a tall, lithe man stood in the center. The guy had a silver tinge to him, and he was just slightly see through.
"What in the world did you summon me for kiddo?" asked Lithalis.
“What the-“ Jack said in surprise.
"Any chance you can keep some weirdo from prying into my friends head when he has visions? Or any other time for that matter?" asked Firiko, his silver aura still glowing.
Lithalis looked over to Reed, Then smirked, "Of course buddy" he said, "But I think you'd better explain me to your friends first" he said.
Firiko took one look at Jack's face and laughed. "Haven't you ever seen Spiritari Magic before?" he asked.
Reed and Jack both awkwardly shook their heads, Reed stepping back a bit.
Firiko sighed, " I thought not. It is a rare kind of magic after all…" he sighed, "Spiritaris is a kind of Spirit Aura. It allows me to communicate with Spirits. Certain spirits like Lithalis here, have made pacts with me, pacts that allow me to summon them later and ask for their help. Lithalis here is a telepath, and he just agreed to Shield Reed from any kind of mental attack, or intrusion, which means Alastair won't be able to read you anymore." he explained.
“Whoa…. I…..” Jack stammered.
“Listen, that’s really nice. I’m just not sure they anything can stop it. And you have to be careful, sometimes if I close him out he can track my location, and one time my heart stopped after someone tried to lock him out for me.” Reed said.
"Well mortals have nothing on a spirit's power" said Lithalis popping up behind Reed, "I just need to have your approval first."
“If I die, it’s your fault, Firiko.” Reed said jokingly, before saying, “Go ahead.”
"You won't die" said Firiko confidently, giving Lithalis the go ahead.
Lithalis put his hands on Reeds temples, focusing his magic. After a few moments he vanished.
Reed staggered, and Jack put a hand on his shoulder to steady him, half expecting Reed to fall to his knees. “And that should take care of the issue?” Reed asked quietly, feeling horrible, but hopefully not conveying it.
(Reed has bad reactions to anything countering Alastair’s magic)
"Yeah.." said Firiko.
“Good.” Reed sat down, hoping to play it off casually, but sitting down hard by accident.
Firiko sighed, listening to Lithalis for a moment, and then letting his healing Aura surround Reed again, knowing full well it would drain his power completely.
“Stop.” Jack said to Firiko. He was watching Reed closely, watching him close his eyes. “He won’t want you to.”
"I don't leave friends in pain" said Firiko, "Not when I can prevent it." he sighed as his spell ended, knowing he wouldn't be using magic for awhile.
(Whatever was wrong with Reed will be gone now. At least for awhile)
Jack sighed irritatedly. Reed sighed, feeling much better. “Thank you. But don’t do that again.”
"I'll decide whether or not i do it" said Firiko stubbornly.
“I’m capable of stopping my heart at any time. Your magic won’t bring me back from that.” Reed argued. He had only done it once, but knew he was fully capable of it.
"And what the heck would you do that for?!" asked Firiko,
“I don’t want you using power to help me.” Reed said, “So there’s always the looming threat that even if you help me, I’ll die.”
Jack glared st him, but sighed. “He’s capable of it, and he’s just stupid enough to do it.”
Firiko stared at him, "And what's wrong with trying to help my friends?" he asked Reed, "Why let them suffer when I can do something about it!"
“Because I asked you not to!”
Firiko looked away for a moment, "I'm not going to let people get hurt when I can prevent it" he siad firmly.
“Yes, you will.” Reed said firmly, before turning to Jack. “Open a portal. I need a minute.”
Firiko waited until Reed was gone, "Is he insane or something??"
“No… my brother- he got killed because he was trying to help Reed.” Jack said sadly.
