Firiko stared at the boot print in the earth, a clear imprint, and unique design.
"Keep your guard up, we may have trouble ahead" he said shifting to human form.

“Wonderful.” Both Reed and Jack said sarcastically.

"Yeah," said Firiko grimly, "If things get too bad just run, these guys will only be after me."

“We’re not going to just leave you.” Reed said, Jack nodding in agreement.

"Right" said Firiko, "Except for the fact that these guys are dangerous, and unlike any you've met before" to cue his words and arrow planted itself at his feet.

“Great.” Jack whispered sarcastically.
Meanwhile, Reed stepped up so he was equal with Firiko.

Firiko erected a shield just as a shower of arrows fell and some guy lept out of a portal and launched a magic attack. the attack shattered Firiko's shield, "Jora" he growled.
"Who else Spirit freak??" said the man, "I came here to take you down! And my next target is your sister!!" he launched several more whips, just as Firiko launched himself back, shielding Jack and Reed, before launching several fireballs.

Jack opened a portal, shoved Reed into it, closed the portal, then began opening portals for arrows to go into, and to make sure that Firiko’s fireballs hit their targets.

Firiko was a bit surprised by what Jack did but kept summoning fireballs as he dodged Jora's attacks. Suddenly he felt a burst of pain in his gut. Doubling over he stared at Jora.. nearly crying out he fell to one knee as burst of agony hit him. this attack was timed!!

Jack cursed. He opened a portal under Firiko, and then jumped in himself, quickly closing it. They were suddenly in a dark room, only lit by a few torches.

Firiko nearly fell to the ground as he slipped through the portal. The pain subsiding a little he gasped. "Those Rats!!" He said angrily, sensing that his siblings were shielding him mentally as they fought.

“Are you Alright?!” Jack’s surprised and concerned question was filled with straining as well.

Firiko got to his feet, "yeah," he winced as he felt pain shoot through him again, they must have captured Shiara…. "That attack was timed… they attacked my siblings, my twin brother and sister, at the same time…" he leaned back against the wall. "Our link, allows us to communicate long distance, but it also allows us to feel what the other's are feeling…. I think they managed to capture my sister… and now they're hurting her.. so they can weaken me and my brother…"

“I can open a portal to her if you want.”

"It's way too far" said Firiko, "besides my brother will probably handle it."
Don't worry about me and Shiara, came Luma's voice in his head, We have Rio, Frost, Damian, And Skye helping to get her out, Not to mention some of the others…!
"Not to mention the rest of my family"

“Is you’re sure, then you need to sit down.”

"I told you I'm fine," said Firiko finally taking a look around as Luma mentally cut him off, and Firiko enforced his own shielding in that direction. "Now where the heck are we anyway?"

“Old hideout.” Jack eyed the dry blood spatter on the wall.

Firiko also eyed the old blood spatter, "And where exactly would it be located??"

“It’s old, I don’t quite remember.” Jack said. “Somewhere in the forest.” He opened a new portal, and brought Reed through.

"Hey Reed" said Firiko by way of greeting,

“Hey.” Reed watched for a moment, before noticing Jack’s concerned look. “Who’s hurt?”

"No one.." said Firiko, "Well.. excepting my sister I think.. But she'll be fine.."

“You two are ok though?” Reed thought for a second, before saying, “Sorry about your sister.”

"I'm fine," said Firiko, "I still can't believe that that jerk Verick had Jora and his men track me down just so he could deal a good blow to my brother…"

“Listen, Jack, I had a vision the first time you sent me through a portal. Your sister….. she did something stupid.” Reed said breathlessly.
“How stupid?” Jack asked.
“Self-destructive stupid.”
Jack cursed. “She alive?” Reed nodded.
“But…. Jack, the visions have been gettin more frequent. You know what that means, right?”

"Aw come on" said Firiko, "No offense but sisters always get in the most trouble.."

“Self-destructive stupid is another level for her.” Jack said to Firiko, then turned to Reed. “Can you close him out?”
Reed shook his head. “I’ll knock myself out.”

"Close who out?" asked Firiko, "If you're talking about me I ain't leaving you to deal with whatever it is you have to deal with alone."

“No, no…. Alastair and I have a link. When the visions get more frequent, it means he’s listening in. He wants information.”
