"Th-then I'm still kicking his culo," Luna sighed shaking her head. She realized her hood wasn't up and pulled it up, "H-he won't die Esmae."

"He isn't as experienced as us. Even of he doesn't die, he'll most likely be severely injured if hes not careful." Esmae also shook her head. There was no time to think of this. If something happened she had to be ready. In the distance she heard a few voices and started to walk that way. "Bye Luna."

Luna gave her a slight wave before pulling her bow back out, “B-bye Esmae.”

Vida climbed up one of the ladders after Katya and stood at the top, looking down over the course.

Cyrus had finally caught up completely and came to a stop next to Sparrow. He looked at her with his soft green eyes.
"They seem to be having fun already. I'm glad we built this course."

"I wonder why we havent used it in so long." She smiled, leaning into him. "alright kids. The rules are simple, dont fall off. If you do, you're on your own. At the signal, you are welcome to start. There are 15 different starting positions and more than 100 combination s of paths you could take. The first one to reach the finish will get the prize of their choosing. Whether it be a personal class with one of us in something we are skilled at or whatever." She grinned. "One…two…three!!" She yelled and watched the kids take off.

Vida sprang into action, just going- unsure where she was headed, but she was going. She started across a rope bridge.
"W-where's the finish line?!" she called down.

Cyrus slowly started to reach for Sparrow to put an arm around her, but he nonverbally asked for her permission first.
After hearing Vida's question, he motioned towards an area on the ground, lined with red paint.

Katya spotted the area and began moving towards it. She figured it would be easiest to get down and then run to the area, it would be best to plan before heading out.

"What is everyone doing?" Esmae asked walking up behind Sparrow and Cyrus. Above her was kids running around on a sort of hanging tree jungle thing. "That looks fun."

"It's an obstacle course. Want to give it a go?" Cyrus asked.
He didn't look directly at Esmae, as he was busy watching the kids on the course.

"Nah, I'd be at a disadvantage since they started earlier." Esmae thought that that wasn't actually true, she could probably catch up, she just didn't feel like it. "So, are you two official now?"

Cyrus looked surprised for a second.
Shit… are we?
He decided to stall by playing dumb, and just made himself look even worse.
"What do you mean?"

Sparrow realized that the kids were getting close to the end and smirked "stage one, begin!" She yelled and pulled a lever. The finish platform grew taller and moved farther away from the kids.

Nathan groaned and angrily kicked a nearby rock. The rock rolled down and pressed a hidden button that made the platform he was on rumble. "Woah." He said just as he lost his footing and fell off the side. "Aaaah!" He screamed.

Sparrow looked at the sound curiously and saw Nathan. She watched him worriedly, trying to mentally send him a message 'use your weapon'

Katya hadn’t been expecting that and she quickly changed course moving upwards rapidly rather than across. She spotted Nathan falling and felt her heart plummet. She had to be able to save him, but he was so far away.

Vida kept going forwards. She was probably taking the long way around, but that didn't matter; she was still going. She grumbled as she saw what was basically a tightrope ahead of her, but with a horizontally laid rope ladder above. Vida grabbed a rung and carefully balanced as she moved forwards.

Nathan flexed his fingers and the claws popped out. He embedded them in a tres and whooped with joy as he stopped right before the last platform. He hopped on and started running to ladders and climbing up them, to get closer to the finish line.

Sparrow looked up at Cyrus and Esmae, trying not to laugh at the not so vague answer he gave her.

"I'll take that as a yes." Esmae moved closer to the tree course. It definitely looked fun. As if her body moved on it's own, she began to climb. It was more wobbly than she expected. After she got to the top she took off running down the course.

Sparrow smiled at Esmaes movement. She was quick, that was for sure. Hopefully she was also slow enough to see where there was and wasnt a path. Looking around at the other 3 kids, she smiled and studied each of their movements.

"So are we?" Cyrus asked, leaning closer to Sparrow, "Official, that is? Are we telling people?"
He smiled just a little as he watched Esmae move up.

Sparrow pretended to think about it "hmm, we technically adopted these kids so I guess, yes, we are official." She said smiling at him

(Excuse me while I die of laughter because this is just all too familiar.)
Cyrus looked at the ground, then back at her.
"Well, I guess you're right. That seems pretty official to me."

(Lmao)

"Now then, can we go back to getting slight revenge on these kids for hurting yo" she said, muffling a laugh. Although this was a fun training course, it had it's own surprises. Certain levers raised or lowered platforms and Sparrow intended on pushing these newly hatched baby assassins to the test.

"I suppose this is the only appropriate type of revenge to get on a child," Cyrus laughed, "but they seem to be enjoying themselves, at least for now."

Sparrow laughed, faking an evil one and she gestured to the many buttons and levers "not for long." She grinned

(I feel like I ruined Sparrow, XD)

(It's honestly kind of amusing to see her idea of a good time, since she's usually a lot more serious. I'm personally loving this.)
Cyrus' eyes widened.
"Oh! Well, where should we start?"
He shuffled closer to the rows of levers and examined them.

Katya kept moving as the course shifted around. She felt familiar with the change and continued going with her path jumping from one platform to the next.

Esmae ran through the course easily, slowly catching up to the other.she stepped into what seemed to be a tower. Having too much fun she didn't realize she stepped on a platform to launch arrows. It was only until one caught her shoulder that she snapped out of fum mode and was in assassin mode. Many more shot from the sides but luckily she dodged all but the first one. Did the other kids know? "Guys!" She shouted but stopped herself. This is the moment to show their skills to the adults, and Esmae wasn't about to ruin that chance for them.

Nathan looked over at Esmae's voice and shouted back "yeah? I'm on the tree at your 6 o'clock!"

Sparrow grinned and closed her eyes "it doesnt matter!" She said gleefully, pulling up a lever and a few pltform started moving up and down.

Esmae lost balance and fell. All of the sudden the platform started to move, and move quickly. Her thinking she could catch up was slowly slipping away. "No, not happening." Standing, she quickly ran and jumped before she lost balance again. The nearest thing was a branch, thank goodness it was a thicker one. The only thing was now that there was no platform near her. Esmae know she had to think of something quick, although she was strong, she wouldn't be able to hold on forever. "Damn!" She hated the idea of asking for help, but if she fell she would definitely get hurt. "Hey, guys! A little help please."

Nathan looked over and jumped from a tree. He landed on a platform and jumped off again, grabbing a tree with his gloves and shimmying over to her "grab on!" He yelled

Katya looked over to where Esmae was. She may not like that, but she wasn't going to leave her hanging. Katya started to make her way over climbing up onto a tree and moving to the next one, "I'm coming over!"
