“Look…” Phelia started, coming to the conclusion that she was already dead. “If you’re some spirit that’s here to take me to whatever fucked up afterlife I deserve, can you just take me already?”

Kayla placed Milo on the ground, Kayla tilted her head, looking very confused. “Huh? You mean kill you? Why would I do that?”

“Well aren’t I already dead?” She asked, now also confused. She winced as her head throbbed loudly.

Kayla chuckled. “Of course not! I wouldn’t kill someone, why would I? I have no reason to do so.”

“Dang it, so I am still alive” she groaned “that explains why everything hurts.”

Kayla sits down on the ground, brushing Milo’s fur off of her Kimono. “So, what’s your name?” She asks, completely ignoring the fact that at anytime she could get killed.

“Ophelia.” A small stream of blood appeared from her hairline, making its way down her face. “Well shit that’s not good”

Kayla yelled at Milo some random words that were hard to make out, Milo hesitantly ran off, quickly returning with bandages and poroxide. Kayla smiled and looked over. “Kayla, it’s a pleasure.” Kayla dripped the poroxide on the wound, and began to rub it in after she sanitized them. She took the bandages and wrapped them slowly around the wound, covering it up. “There we go! Better?”

“Yeah. Thanks” she replied with a small smile. “I should be fine, nothing that can’t be fixed.”

Kayla smiled sweetly as Milo slowly walked up to Ophelia, sniffing her hand.
Kayla patted Milo’s head. “Oh, and that’s Milo, he’s my pet wolf, as well as my best friend!”

“A pet wolf?” She chuckled lightly “That’s pretty freaking awesome.” She smiled at Milo “hey there buddy”

Milo rubbed his head against her hand, showing that he’s okay with her.
Kayla grabbed the poroxide and put the lid on it, then wrapped the remaining bandages around the poroxide bottle.

“Aw you’re adorable.” She hummed to the wolf. She thought for a second and looked up at Kayla. “Hey what are you guys doing out here in the woods anyway?”

Kayla smiled. “We live in a cave around here, Milo smelled someone, he thought someone was coming to try and take me again!”
Kayla played with the amulet hanging from her neck, staring at the shiny dark blue stone. “So, what are you doing out here? Were you looking for food?”

“Um…” Ophelia paused for a second, letting all the information process. “Actually…I kinda crashed my car” she muttered embarrasedly. “Also, why would someone be after you?”

Kayla shrugged. “I actually don’t know why, they just tell me something like, oh princess I found you or something like that. People are weird…”
She stuck out her hand, wanting to shake hers. “I’m very sorry if I scared you, or if Milo did. We are really nice, I promise. Milo’s just a bit protective…”

She laughed lightly “yeah people are weird.” She shook Kayla’s outstretched hand. “I’m actually really glad you found me.”

Kayla smiled brightly, her cheeks a bit red as it reflected sunlight. “I am really glad as well!”
