He was being bombarded with questions as he stood there scared.

(If you don't like Jared you can say so and I'll change it, I just put something in there for the sake of keeping this going, and he also needs a last name)
Piper could hear Nancy and her friends talking about the new kid. According to them, he was "cute" and "filthy rich" or whatever. That could pose a problem in the future for Piper, the fact that they wanted to get to know him too, so she made mental note of that. She spent the rest of class trying to find some way to find out if it was him.

(Ummm…we could do Jared Baker)
He stayed away from the large groups of people so he didn't have to deal with a bunch of talking.

(Okay sounds good)
Piper reached up to her neck to grab her necklace (she did that out of habit when she was thinking), and then she got an idea.
That's it! she thought. I can ask him if he knows about the necklace! I'll write him a note and tell him to meet me at the lunch grounds because it's very important. . .

Tanner looked through his bag looking for a bracelet. When he found it he put it on afraid if he left it there it might get lost.

Once class was over, Piper ran over to her bag and scribbled a note onto a scrap of paper very quickly. She waited for the class to empty a bit, then she began to make her way over to Tanner.

Tanner noticed the note and slowly headed down to where she was.

Piper had to pack up first, but as soon as she did, she took a few shortcuts and made it to the lunch grounds. She had just started to think he wouldn't show up when she heard some quiet footsteps.

Tanner walked up to her slowly. "Y-You wanted to meet me her…?"

She didn't say anything, she just held up the necklace and waited to see his reaction. If it was really Tanner, he would know that he gave it to her before she moved away.

His eyes widened and he quickly took off his bracelet. It had the exact same charm on it

Piper smile so big, her face started to hurt. She could barely speak. All she could manage for a while was a squeaky, breathless, "It's you!"

"I thought you looked familiar." He laughed.

“Oh my gosh I can’t beleive it!” She said, and hugged him. Then she pulled back a bit. “Jared? Why’d she call you that?”

"It's a fake name…"

“Well duh, but I mean, why’d she use a fake name?”

He tensed up a little. "U-Um."

Piper quieted her voice a bit. "You know what? I think I know what this is about." She pulled out some partially crumpled papers from her bag, and she pointed to a name on the top of the first sheet. "Corina Byrch," she read out loud. "That's my fake name. I wanted to learn dance, so I left my dad and came here."

He sighed. "I came here so I could dance too. My mom moved me here with my aunt, who I hate, and now I'm here as Jared Baker."

She was about to say something else when she heard footsteps around the corner. A few seconds later, Nancy and her friends appeared.
"What are you two doing here?"

Tanner tensed up. "I-I…" he started shrinking in on himself

"Not that it's any of your business," Piper stepped in, "but he was just asking me how to get to the biology room."
Nancy scoffed at Piper, then directed her attention to Tanner. "She's trouble, so I wouldn't hang around her too much," she said, and her friends all nodded their heads in agreement.
like a bunch of puppets, Piper thought.

"I-I'd…" he curled up even more. "D-don't think she's that bad…"

"Pfft, Corina is loads of trouble. Not to mention, unattractive."
Piper had stayed silent (she tried not to say what she was thinking as much as possible) but Nancy and her posse had hit a nerve.
"That's it," she said, and turned her attention to Nancy. "It's funny that you should call me unattractive, considering the fact that your appearance is less appealing than a landfill. And which of us has been to detention more? You. How about suspended? You." Piper looked Nancy dead in the eye. Nancy looked very uncomfortable.

Tanner looked at piper flinching a little

(Hey, this is just a suggestion to make the rp a bit more interesting, but could you maybe add a bit more to your responses? And just so you know, you can manipulate the other characters too, just not piper. Thanks)
"You know what? I'm gonna go. This is stupid," Piper said, and she walked off. She was too upset to continue her conversation with Tanner.

(Sure!)
Tanner watched her leave. "You guys are jerks…She didn't do anything to you," he stated. "I think you guys are far worse then she'd ever been" He ran in the direction piper went trying to catch up with her. "Wait!"

Piper wanted really badly to turn, but something in her made her keep walking. It would probably be best if they didn't know we used to be friends. . . If we hang out together, we might slip up and say each other's names. . .

"Corina!' He yelled knowing not to call her Piper. He reached out for her. He grabbed her wrist completely out of breath. "W-Wait…" He looked at her worriedly.
