I wouldn't really want to call my idea halfbaked… But it's not burnt.
Although I do want this to be an extreme fantasy (with mythical creatures that don't even have names and all that magic stuffs…)

So there is this kid and he has a power that certain people can sense but they dont tell him and he doesnt know. Then some bad guy comes and ries to destroy his village and kidnaps (insert close loved one) to lure him out so they can steal his power. Some strange warriors managed to save the village but person was still taken. Now the kid goes on a quest to learn how to use his power and save the kidnapped person.

Also to do so they have to cross into different plains of reality to find this bad guy!

Crossing dimensions sounds nice, but I was thinking that those dimensions are like rooms of a house….. There's only one way in and one way out.

Magical forest with crazy creatures and weak barriers between dimensions and they have to find something from different dimensions or something like that?
