Talia's eyebrows came down furiously over her blues. A gambler, which means loan sharks. "Ah. I see…" was all she said as she tilted Cruz's head back a bit further and looked into his eyes. She noted their slow reaction to the light. "I think you should be fine after I stitch this up and after some rest…and a bath."
What're ypu gonna do, drown me? He thought with a sense of morbid indignation. She oughta have the courage to turn out his lights now, or Josephine especially. At least with Josephine, her rage towards him would probably burst all at once and end him quickly. Talia sighed when the man did not respond and got to work slowly stitching up his wound. She was careful not to get any blood on her clothing, but her fingers were now coated in it. Mother, if you could see me now. Once the last stitch was clipped, she quickly stepped back, wiping her hands furiously with a cloth. What an evening this has turned out to be.
Cruz sighed slowly once it was done. He let out a shaky sigh, his attempt at a thank-you.
