hey guys, so in one of my books two teenagers are catching up on all the drama in their school, but i don't have many scenarios that i can think of, giving me any and all scenarios that you can think of would be great, the only guidelines you have to follow is that it has to be able to happen between high schoolers/stuff teenagers would have to deal with, preferably in a high school setting but it can be anywhere as long as a part or two of it happened in the school.
thanks
What do you mean by drama? Like gossip they're catching up on? Or just teen-drama-esque things that happen to the main characters themselves?
I just graduated high school last year, and boy am I glad to. So much shit went down, and somehow I always got caught up in the middle of it all. There's a lot of stupid parties that can either be about drugs/alcohol/trap music in a small apartment or just a chill gathering of teens playing UNO and watching throwback movies. The drama usually happens within the dating groups, drama kids, druggies, or the ghetto girls. One exception was when 2 guys were arguing in the cafeteria and one of them was a boxer and knocked the shit out of the other guy. He insulted his mother. I was sitting beside them, there was blood followed up by the police. The drama I've been involved with was like friendships gone wrong, where my bestie got tired of some old friends that treated her like shit so she tried dropping them but it only got her "kicked" off the color guard team. Lots of gossiping went around, and we both just sort of said: "fuck all of you, you're all assholes" and our prom group went from 10 people to 3. I've had students in my class get upset with other students or even teachers. One time, a kid sitting next to me wanted to start shit in our math class so when he got up I tripped him and said it was an accident. He was luckily sent to the principal's office before he punched me in the face, and somehow he later got busted for dealing drugs within the same day. The ghetto fights always happened during lunch period, don't know why, but it was always 2 girls trying to one-up each other and pull off weaves/wigs and whatnot. The main drama I've been involved with was mostly psychological where my bestie was experiencing depression, anxiety, and the loss of her dad but was always so good at faking confidence. She's dragged me to parties, helped me with trying out weed and cigs, and she was constantly getting caught by her mom. One night when I stayed at her house, we went out for a quick smoke and we came back and her mom was yelling at her. Her mom then asked me if she had smoked and I just said 'no' quietly because of 1.) I didn't want to lie to her mom, I frickin loved her but 2.) My bestie was in need of support. I was battling depression and anxiety as well, and I was also trying to break free from my parent's mental abuse. A lot of drama is stuff that goes on with the kids and them trying to hide it from adults unless the kid is sleeping with the adult. That's a different story. Hope this helped, sorry for rambling.

like gossip, sorry i should have made that clear, but you can give me drama for the main characters, whatever you can think of
@RebeccArt (Don't worry about the rambling—it's fine). Wow. That's some heavy stuff at the end there. I've still got a few years of high school left but I've never really been involved in anything that intense.
The closest it ever got was this one friend I had last year who had problems at home and she cut herself and had attempted suicide before and basically all of her friends besides me and my friend group were serious druggies. She'd always come into math class second period with stories about drinking tons of alcohol and making out with people and doing drugs. She always said the one thing she'd never do was smoke cigarettes but by the end of the year she was slipping out of class to go smoke with her friends. That girl had the most complicated romantic drama I've ever experienced outside of crappy TV shows and she was always skipping class. At some point she just stopped going to French class at all and after a month or two her name was just removed from the attendance list.
I'm friends with a bunch of insanely smart straight-laced introverts I've known forever so things don't usually get too crazy. I mean, they're weird as frick sometimes but they're all terrified to break rules so. Other than that I've got one friend with an eating disorder and I suspect she's harming herself but it's hard to tell sometimes because she's very closed off.
ThePhandomIsMyCity I don't have much experience with high school drama, other than the cliches, but I can try to brainstorm some stuff. As I see it, you've probably got tons of drama material already. You can tweak things that have happened to you or that you've heard about to fit the characters and the story or you can just write things based off of what you've heard about/what's happened to you. You can also toy with throwing in a few ridiculous and unrealistic situations just for fun. (Also you could totally steal some of @RebeccArt's high school drama because that is gold).
Gossip story, senior year I had a fairly decent friend group despite the previous years of ridding myself of trash people. It was basically me, my bestie, a guy from my group project that decided to just stick around me and my bestie since he had no friends during his lunch period, 2 girls that were basically the sunshine for us hermits, one girl that sort of just came and went, and then one annoying ass girl/boy idk they were always changing pronouns. We'll just call them Ignorant. So Ignorant was the type of person to always talk over people, interrupt, make fun of others, one-up misery, seek attention through trivial things, and so much more. So I actually use to have a crush on Ignorant, I told my bestie about it and she was like "I swear to fucking god if you date Ignorant, I'm not your bestie anymore. Ignorant is so annoying, and rude." I had actually not seen Ignorant in this way, I was caught up in their appearance. I befriended Ignorant in my art class and I guess my bestie told the rest of our group about my crush. They basically then all convinced me to not like Ignorant and I saw a new light from Ignorant that showed me that Ignorant was a BITCH. Our group got in a fight during lunch because Ignorant was very ignorant of their wealth status and kept trying to say they were not rich, even though they clearly were due to the paid off fancy car they had and always had over 100 bucks in their lunch account. Our group basically agreed we did not want Ignorant at the Lunch table anymore, but the next day IGNORANT SAT WITH US ANYWAYS. We let it slide for a couple of days until Ignorant started being annoying again so I basically said to Ignorant.."What are you doing here? You don't belong here." and after that was basically the scene from the vine where one man roasted someone and everyone behind him was jumping and shouting. But Ignorant still didn't get the message so we all got up and left. Ignorant was sad, and I was sort of sad as well because I was physically attracted to them so I felt that I had to be the one to say it to them. But then Ignorant started gossiping about me and the group saying we were bullies, and they told the teachers and stuff(but teachers don't care) and Ignorant even got a job(surprisingly) and my bestie went to investigate and Ignorant was spreading gossip about us to their coworkers and we no longer visit that place. Toxic people suck. IDK if there was a good guy vs bad guy in there, most of the time there isn't when it comes to high school drama.
Some stuff that’s happened at my school:
- a kid broke his hip playing basketball at recess
- there’s this one girl that is very whiny about how she has no friends, so no one really likes her because she makes them feel like crap, but otherwise we all get along pretty well
- gym class is the stuff of a comedy, between the boys straight up tackling each other and one of my friends swearing under her breath the whole time
- once my teachers just felt like being obnoxious, so he started a debate about wether it was Adam or Eve’s fault we aren’t all in heaven right now(I go to a Catholic school). Some people (not me) realized he was just kidding, but me and like three of my friends got super mad. He said something about how the first thing he’d do after he got to heaven was ask Eve why she ate the fruit, and one of my friends told him he’d never get to meet Eve, because as he said, she was in heaven. It got pretty intense, and then we brought it up with our homeroom/religion teacher, and she verbally tore him apart over text messaging.
-me and two of my friends staged a protest to let another friend to be allowed to wear her hat at lunch because she has really bad anxiety and needed it to feel calm.
