I’m writing a story where it ends very Salem Witch Trial. Like, a bunch of people get killed for no real reason, because the town went crazy. But I don’t really have a reason as cover-up? My current one is that the overly religious town associates LGBT+ with Satan and… yeah, it’s pretty weak. Thoughts?
Ahh…if people are getting killed its always about the money…my dad always says to me "If something seems fishy, trace the money trails back to the source. Things'll make sense." If you want realism, make it a blackmail, a scandal coverup, a dirty deal gone wrong…something $ related
That’s a good idea, but I’m not sure how to have it cover dozens of people. Some of them are teenagers, too. Any ideas?
Are there any connecting factors with all the murders? Any common denominators? (im treating this like a detective investigation)
//neat lmao
It starts with the runaway of a rich family. Who’s dating a drug dealer and may or may not be somwhat (unwillingly) involved in a gang… I don’t know, it’s pretty complicated. Uh, generally they’re all people who don’t fit in with the overly religious people of the town?
Maybe the overly religious people are hiding a dirty little secret…like money laundering or something like that? And some people find out about it?
That could work! Thanks :)
you said something about religion, so try making it a little cult like? like margret in Carrie.
