it is about a 14 years old boy who meats a girl from another place (not quite sure where yet) and then gets thrown out in things he would never imagen. We think it is a good idea to write it from a boys perspective because they are often thought of as the gender that are'nt that romantic an maybe don't always know what is going on when it comes to love. (sorry for the bad english. it is my 2 languede)
Hi Alberte! Your English is very good, don't worry about that :) I like your idea of having the story told from the boy's perspective. I find asking a few key questions can often help with getting started. Maybe these will help?
How old is the girl? Is she the same age as they boy?
How do they meet?
What is the boy like? What does he look like, what is his personality?
What is the girl like? What does she look like, what is her personality?
Are they (romantically) interested in each other right away or do they start as friends? Or do they dislike each other? (Irritated by each other, etc).
Where do they meet?
Is the girl from another place as in another city? Or another country? Or another continent? Maybe another planet?
What kind of setting does your story have? Is it set in the present? The past? The future? And alternate universe? On another planet?
What is the boy's backstory? Where does he come from, what are his family/friends like? What is his home environment like? Does he have a healthy relationship with his family or is he estranged? Are they abusive? Does he go to school? If so, what is his school environment like? Is he popular, is he more of a loner? Is he bullied?
What is the girl's backstory? Where does she come from, what are her family/friends like? What is her home environment like? Does she have a healthy relationship with her family or is she estranged? Are they abusive? Does she go to school? If so, what is her school environment like? Is she popular, is she more of a loner? Is she bullied?
How do the boy and girl's personalities contrast? Are they immediately compatible or are they at odds with each other?
You said the boy gets thrown into things you could never imagine. What kinds of things happen to them? Are they on the run from the law? Do they join in a rebellion? Is there a war?
What genres are you going for? Dystopian? Fantasy? Sci-fi? Post-apocaliptic?
