My main protagonist used to be a princess but her whole family was massacred in a family blood feud. She has now been on the run for almost 5 years. She ultimately wants to get revenge on her uncle for killing her family. To do this she gets a facade and secretly marries under a new name into a royal family that has an alliance with her uncle so she can get in close enough to kill him. However, the pickle is, how does someone who is now a nobody marry into a royal family???
Could go the route that she uses magic to inhance beauty and bewitches her soon to be husband.
If there is no magic in your universe you could have her show her prowess on the battle field and with enough honor, she catches the eye of a prince. Maybe even the prince is blood thirsty and ruthless so he wants a wife that wouldnt become sick at the sight of blood. So, he hears about a woman who can hack away multiple enemies on the battle field or in arenas. Would make it interesting to show a girly girl princess slowly become a warrior over time and use her intellect to sway the prince into taking over the uncle’s kingdom.
The last thing i can think of is that she uses her smarts to slowly gain a fortune over time and become a very wealthy merchant. A kingdom is in financial crisis and she helps them, but in returns she will marry the prince or king of that kingdom.
YES THANK YOU SO MUCH! These are such good ideas! I have been super stuck with this, but I really like the idea of her becoming known for her warrior skills. Just gotta now think of ways that she can become well-known for that.
Well it matters on how the uncle is and his personality. Based on that you can kind of narrow down how you wanted her to progress through the story. Doesnt make sense to have a warrior princess but a prince that is against violence. Well, actually you could but it would be easier to do it other ways.
