so i have this story thats very Percy Jackson/ hunger games esque, and it involves a journey from Alaskan coast to central America, so if anyone has any tips on how to spice up a journey in writing, without too many cliches or inappropriateness, that would be amazingly appreciated :)
Okay, how many characters are there? How is it Percy Jackson/ Hunger Games esque? Because depending on how Percy Jackson esque it is, a mythical creature/monster could attack them. Also, one of them could get kidnapped (by the antagonist or side villans), mauled by a bear (or any large and/or dangerous creature), get poisoned by contaminated water or plant, lose equipment, break a limb, and get lost. (yeah, kinda cliche but come on, everyone gets lost.)
there are 4 characters plus a dog, and thank you for the help, i intend to use some of these. Percy Jackson in a way that they are on a time limit to restore a thing and have to go to a part of Americ TO restore said thing, HUnger games in a way that they are being targeted by the villian because of ability.
or they could have some kind of emotional conflict; love or honour, if your protagonist is very honour bound…and the loss of one of the things makes it less cliche
oh, thats good, (also i love your username because PJO is my life) i will definitrely put some thought into that
