So I'm taking a break from my other ideas because I just got this really good one.
So for the title of the book, I want it to be called Hostage because that was the first thing I thought of. So I want it to be about a spy team who has to go on a highly classified mission to a place. But they don't come back, so they get the best team they have which the main character is in to see whats up… and thats all I have. Any ideas?
That really does seem interesting! I don't want to give you concrete ideas because I think you should take the plot in the direction you want it to go instead of what I would do, but I do have some questions and concepts that could help you flesh it out. My biggest question is what is the thing in the place that caused the first team to go missing? Why did the team go there in the first place to investigate it? Is there some kind of monster there? Was it a big bad supervillain or organization who took the team hostage? What place was it that they went to? Why did this mystery antagonist take the team? I think these are probably some of the first things you should figure out, as the plot does revolve around them. Also, what is this organization your main character is working for? Is it government run? Or is it a group of vigilantes who have taken it into their own hands to find out what's going wrong? Why did your protagonist decide to join this organization? Personally, I think it would be really fun to write this as a mystery, the character not given much information on their mission and having to piece it together throughout the story. It would really make the story very gripping and intriguing. There is very little context so there's a lot of possibilities, but it really does sound interesting! I can't wait to see where you take this.
