So I was trying desperately to come up with a plot for my book, and I've got the basis of one. But I need to know, has OT been done before? Here's a summary: Character d and Character c are best friends, basically Character c is a handmaiden (or something) to the Queen and Character d is a knight. Character d finally gets the chance to leave their village and search for her guardian, who was a knight and went on a mission that's still continuing. But character c doesn't get to come. Character c goes after character d and basically they find each other and then find the guardian and they're all happy. Somewhere in their they'll meet someone who becomes the villain. So when the guardian gets murdered they blame it on the villain. Basically character Cs brother (who is loosely mentioned earlier) is killing people off that may cause harm to character c (emotionally or otherwise).
I'm not sure if "the brothers the real villain and the fake villain gets a redemption arc" has been done before. If anyone could tell me if you'd expect it that would be great!
Also I'd love some help with the second part of my plot, still not sure how to end my story.

(I know this is a little old, but idc, so) Everything has been done before. As long as the execution is good, it doesn't matter that much. Worry less about originality and more about just writing the book you want to write. If it's a good book, no one will care if they've read a similar plot before. As for whether or not people would see the twist coming, that is probably also largely dependent on how it's actually written.
