I'm not ready to start reaching for the climax of my story yet… I need a lot more time to pass in the story, and I have no idea what to do. Science fiction, futuristic… the protagonist is taking care of a blind friend if that helps… help please?
Try having the protagonist describe colors with word to their blind friend. Describing colors with words can be tricky, but it's fun and mesmerizing to do. If it gets tricky, try drawing or coloring with that color. This might be extra tricky, since you can't use colors at at all. (So, you can't say blue is like the sky or red is like an apple.) You'll have to use feelings. Everyone on this site is supper creative and helpful, so don't be afraid to ask us if you need help with a color.
Have them talk about things that they miss doing (that they haven't done in a while). If it's science fiction, I assume there's a lot of action and fighting, so they might not have danced or listened to music in a really long time. Maybe the blind person has never danced before, and the protagonist takes the time to talk about dancing and maybe promise to teach them someday (which would bring another fluff scene in the future)
