I thought all sheet music was the same? It's just the way it's written that might tell you what instrument it is?

It is, but guitar music is mostly just chords. If you're playing lead guitar, then it's just regular music with a few harmonies here and there depending on what you're playing. It's like piano music, just without the pedal.

Yeah, that's what I meant. You can usually tell by looking at it what instrument it is, but chords can be found in a lot of instruments (even violins… kinda)

I mean, technically there are some pedals for guitar, but those aren't used unless you have an electric or want to do something silly. There is such thing as a Hatsune Miku pedal, it does exactly what you think it does.

yeah he's letting me use his acoustic (which is beautiful except for the pear shape lmao) and if I get good, he'll buy me my own guitar
