@lisapickle

Okay y'all. I can't keep playing in this rp without pointing out a huge issue everyone in here has: none of you play off each others' characters well at ALL. Most of you may as well be just writing your own little story all by yourself. The point of a roleplay is to write a story TOGETHER. But when hardly any of the characters interact in any meaningful way, there's no point. I don't mind driving the general plot, but y'all need to play off me. I had Erin open up about her heartache to Fiona and Fiona was just like "no i don't care about y'all i want to be by myself". You can't have characters just LEAVE the main roleplay direction. Now we basically have two RPs going on: the main group, and then Fiona and Darren off by themselves. Erin's mentioned SEVERAL times about her past and her 'job' and she obviously knows too much to be an average person yet NONE of the other characters have been like, "hey, wait, who are you even? Why are you telling us what to do?" Molly is only ever mad at everyone, and never suspicious or protective in any way that means anything (from what I know of her, Bucky, she shouldn't be letting Erin run the show since none of them know Erin). Right now, Claire is basically dead weight. She's free from Henry, she shouldn't be holding onto it so bad. She should be happy and excited to be free of him and to help the others. The only other interesting thing that's going on (even more interesting than Erin taking them to safety, honestly), is Apollyon. And more characters should be trying to help her out and figure out what's going on with her.

I'm not mad at any of y'all, I'm just trying to show you how bad this roleplay is right now. I've been seriously roleplaying for about eight years and I've been in some really, absolutely awesome RPs. And they're good because each person's characters play off the other characters. There HAS to be real, meaningful interaction, otherwise the story is just dead.

I was super excited to get back into roleplaying on this website and Bucky wanted me to be here and all, but if this story isn't even doing anything, then I don't want to waste my time being here. I can't write this whole thing on my own, I need y'all to work with me.

I know… I realize that….
And I'm kinda angry at myself for kinda letting that happen.
Maybe I can try to be better about this… Yet it's hard when all the action is going on with Clovis and App and Fiona and Darren… I mean I try, but there really isn't much I can do for now.

@lisapickle

You don't have to wait for the action to come to you, Tiramisu. It's totally fine (and awesome!) if you make stuff happen. You can make a zombie raid, you can bring in a cool new character. If you have an idea you can shout it out and we can figure out how to work it in or something. Roleplays are the best when everyone has ideas and excitement and drive and everyone works together to make the story happen.

Deleted user

Yeah… (Although it'd be awkward if she just jumped out of Dareon's arms for whatever reason, but after that, I suppose I can

MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!

@gracehustle

sorry if I'm keeping Fiona kinda alone..I just started roleplaying two or three months ago and my characters all are kinda just strays that I don't really know how to incorporate into the roleplays. I usually end up just sitting on the side and watching most of the rp's because I don't know what to have my characters do and I feel like I'm being pushy if I make something dramatic happen..sorry if I'm not helping the story and iff you guys feel or want I can always just say the thing with Fiona shooting Conner never affected her and she can just go with you guys.
Again I'm really sorry if I'm making this rp difficult or not work, you guys can always ask me to leave if you want

NUUUUUU
Fiona's perfectly fine… (Although maybe she shouldn't cling to Conner's death for so long so much… Just my thought…)
On that note of Conner tho…. Is Looper ever gonna come back? Just curious…

@lisapickle

No, Grace, the stuff with Conner is actually really good material! There's tons of stuff there you can work with. She can have nightmares, not trust herself with a gun, etc. All that affects the main story and the group. Even if she still doesn't want to talk about it to the others, that's totally realistic. And you're not pushy if you make stuff happen. That's the beauty of a roleplay. Everyone has different ideas, and (as long as we work together and make sure it all makes sense) you can surprise everyone else by having a new idea come in. Everyone has something to offer, it's just tons more fun when we all work together with our ideas.

I know how awkward it can be to be a new roleplayer. But if you need help with ideas or something for your character to do, you can just ask, "Hey, I don't know what to do right now, what would be good for my character to do?" And we can say "hey, what if they were such-and-such?" There's a place for everyone, even if you're learning.

Yesh.
I know I feel like Claire should be, like, rejoicing that Henry is dead, but overall, death is kinda traumitizing to her…. Although I should change that. Maybe..

@lisapickle

And Tiramisu, there's nothing awkward about having Claire get out of Dare's arms. He's been holding her long enough that it's almost awkward for her to stay in his arms XD But you can have her do tons of stuff that would help the roleplay out. Does she know how to use a gun? (I can't remember if she's the one who killed Henry or not). What plans does she have for her life now that she's 'free'? Maybe she has a family member or friend affected by the zombie plague and she wants to know how they are? Is she royalty? (I know she was engaged to Henry but I don't know her social status). Maybe she has resources that will help the rest of the group? Even though not all of that is like ACTION ACTION ACTION is would help the story out A LOT and give her more stuff to do.

@lisapickle

It's totally realistic for her to struggle between "glad he's dead" and "death is horrible I shouldn't feel this way". That's totally a natural human reaction. If Claire struggles with using a gun because she's sickened by death, that's the perfect time for her to actively search for another, non-defensive, way to help everyone (like I mentioned above, if she has resources or something).

Deleted user

To answer that question, Dareon was the one who killed Henry…
And they were set to get married, but unsure if they were actually officially engaged…
Oh… Wait… I might have an idea… Maybe….

Deleted user

And on that note, she has absolutely no idea how to defend herself, let alone use a gun X3 the poor nearly-helpless lil girl…

@lisapickle

If she can't defend herself but they're in an apocalypse, the issue of her learning to use a gun or a knife or something would be a very real concern. Her having on going lessons from Erin or Molly or someone would be a great idea. (Especially if they got in a fight and she got in trouble and couldn't help herself and they realized she needed to learn.)

Deleted user

Yeah.
Although I was thinking about an idea relating to her town.
