"Oh I'm well aware," Cicada responded watching him. She was overly aware at the moment ready to play and ready to kick some ass, "And what? Are you planning on stabbing me in the back?"
"Oh I'm well aware," Cicada responded watching him. She was overly aware at the moment ready to play and ready to kick some ass, "And what? Are you planning on stabbing me in the back?"
"No," Phoenix said lightly, pulling on the armor. Picking up one of the guns, he cocked it back and smirked a little. "I have pretty good aim, though. And I know some of your weaknesses. So I have that going for me. I guess I'd metaphorically be stabbing you in the back."
"Wonderful," Cicada calmly took the gun and kept it pointed at the ground. She adjusted her grip on the handle as she got a feel for the weight and style it had. She felt pretty comfortable overall, "You're still going down darling."
"I still feel like you're belittling me, here. Why so confident today?" Phoenix asked her, adjusting his gun in his hand. "Do you really not think I have a chance?"
"Yeah, that and I'm just having a good day you know? I got like, 6 hours of sleep and that might be too much so now I have way too much energy," Cicada explained with a big grin on, "My boyfriend is taking me on an actual date. So it feels like everything is just going my way."
"Woah…" Phoenix laughed lightly to her first thing, running a hand through his hair. "Right then. Well, I'll try not to ruin that good streak. But I can't help it if I beat you, and get to pay for dinner." He hummed with a shrug.
"Fine, fine," Cicada laughed a little as she began to make her way towards the arena area. She wasn't wearing any white today, which was a good thing at the moment, "But also don't be upset when I beat you."
"I'll try not to be." Phoenix sighed a little, before giving a soft smile. He knew she would win, there was much point in trying. But he would anyways. "No hard feelings either way?"
"No hard feeling either way," Cicada smiled softly back at him. The smile quickly turned into a confident grin as she looked back at him, "Talk to you once the game is over!"
"Alright, see you then." Phoenix hummed a little, smiling lightly as he started to walk off into the arena. "Good luck!"
(Do we wanna skip, or keep going?)
(I’m fine with either. What do you want to do?)
(Preferably skim to near the end. But I don't care either way.)
(Also, sorry for not being around. I was rather busy today.)
(That's fine!)
(Also we can skip to the end. Who should be the winner?)
(Since Phoenix won last time, I see it's only fair Cicada wins. But even if Phoenix wins, he would probably end up letting her pay anyways lol)
(Lol okay. Do you want me to start?)
(That would be lovely!)
Cicada was a little out of breath as the round ended. She had gotten a fair amount of shots at Phe and had avoided a lot of shots from him. So overall she was feeling really good without seeing the score, though the green glow coming from her gun gave her the wonderful suspicion that she had won. A smile made it's way to her face as she exited the arena seeing Phe, "Hey, you did a good job."
Phoenix couldn't keep from scoffing a little, starting to pull the armor off. "Mhmm. Sure." He told her lightly, not actually upset. He had known she would win, but was still just the slightest bit bitter about it. Though he'd get over it. "Looks like you're paying for dinner, then. I'll need to find a way to get to the next time."
"Hell yeah!" Cicada sounded way too happy about that fact. She started to shed her own set of armor as she glanced over at him. She gave him a big cocky grin, "Told ya I would win. And you called me cocky."
Phoenix snickered a little, clicking his tongue. "I said you were over-confident. And I know from personal experience, that can lead to your own destruction. It was more of a warning, than anything." He insisted as he held out a hand to shake hers. "But you won, fair and square."
Cicada took his hand and shook before she let out a laugh. She gave him a big smile, "I did, didn't I? Either way, I'll remember your warning for the future, but for now. I'll relish in my victory."
"Good, I don't want you getting hurt. You're kind of important to me." Phoenix hummed, poking the tip of her nose as he started leading her out. "Come on, let's go get you dinner. You've earned it."
Cicada blushed a little as she followed him out. She reached to grab his hand as she caught up to him, “Hey you’re getting dinner too. This isn’t just for me got it?”
"I know that, I just didn't say it." Phoenix started, leaning over to peck her cheek. He had a little smile up as he led her along the path, for them to go get dinner. "You wanna get ice cream afterwards?"
"Sure!" Cicada agreed as she hummed a little. A soft smile was on her face as continued to walk with him giving him a little bump in return for the cheek peck, "I'm paying for the ice cream too okay? Okay."
