Hiya! Looking for a fairly experienced writer to roleplay with! I'm thinking sci-fi romance, and I'll divulge more of the general plot if anyone is interested! I'd really like if whoever is interested is fairly active and writes more than one sentence, bc all of my roleplays right now are either dead or moving crazy slow.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Hey! I'm interested! I will warn you now, I might be slow the next three days then I'll be more active since I'm on holidays. If that's a problem that's okay :) I'll leave you with someone else, then.

@WriteOutofTime

That's fine! So what I was thinking for the plot:
A space bounty hunter is sent to take out a target. Little do they know, the target is extremely valuable (probably royalty or some political power idk) but also a sweetheart who sees the good in everyone. The bounty hunter can't bring themselves to kill the target, so they take the target, planning on turning them over to their employer. On their journey (while making several stops along the way) they fall in love and so on lol

What do you think?

(I'm playing as a guy and I'd lowkey prefer straight romance bc I feel like I always write non-straight stuff on here, but anything's fine!)

@ElderGod-Carrots

Name: Astra Morrylin
Age (20+): 22
Gender: female
Sexuality: bi-sexual
Skills: painting, writing, playing piano, negotiating, close hand combat
Personality: Astra is a very kind hearted person. She's very sweet, always looking for the good in others. She's kind and caring, the kind of person you'd find hanging out with the elderly on the weekends. She's always willing to help others and wants to. Passionate about learning. Strong willed and minded when she wants to be or it's something she loves. However, despite all that, she knows when kindness is needed, and when it is not. Level headed, intelligent. Does have a bit of a temper on her if you piss her off enough, however that doesn't happen often unless you're in a meeting with her and you say something completely idiotic and then she'll go off. (Luckily this hasn't happened too often as mentioned). She will always put others needs above her own in any situation, even if it might effect her later down the line. Does suffer from anxiety but she is on medication for this and has become a lot better with dealing with those thoughts and emotions. Is no stranger to a panic or anxiety attack because of this. Trust issues.
Appearance: Astra has stark white hair, falling down to just past her waist. She usually wears it half swept up on top of her head and the other in waves down her back. She stands around 5'7. Slightly tanned skin in the summer months and pale in the winter. Has an array of freckles across her cheeks and nose. Natural blush to her face. Sweet smile. She has one vibrant blue eye (her left) and one vibrant violet one (her right) - they are almost unnaturally bright but something she is frequently complimented on. Her left hand is a metal prosthetic which she has painted baby pink and blue roses to match the colour of the crystal inside the mechanics of the thing. Usually wears a lot of light colours (blue and pink mainly) or white and gold.
Fears: death, drowning, small spaces, losing the one person closest to her (her father).
Likes: reading, plants, spending time outside and with other people.
Dislikes: being underestimated just because she looks 'innocent' (which, at times, she is, however she is quite the fighter when she needs to be), coffee, rude or obnoxious people.
Backstory: Astra is currently the only living heir to the throne of Eirus. She was the youngest of three children, having two older brothers (Aeron and Arin) who unfortunately, with her mother, passed away in battle when she was 16. The people of Eirus are more or less a peaceful people, very welcoming and loving. But, they hold a lot of power which some people did not agree with, hence the battle. Luckily, they won, but it came with the price of losing their two oldest heirs. Soon after, her father, Octian, cracked down on boarder control on their planet and became more cautious. He was a very good father, very loving and him and Astra don't have many problems. Together, they make their planet a very peaceful place to be. The death of their family members hit them both hard but the two of them managed to deal with the grief and they are always remembered in the heart of their people. She had to grow up very fast in a life of royalty, luckily she had a better childhood then some of the other royals she knows and is very grateful.
Other: Loves space and the stars and wishes to travel more then she does, wanting to see the universe first hand.

@WriteOutofTime

Name: Kai "Skip" Landing
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Skills: Sharpshooter, very fast, charismatic, a good fighter
Personality: 4w3, ENFP-T. A sentimental soul with a love for the arts. He can be a guy of few words, but he's clever and enjoys teasing. Very loose morals, and since he was raised rich, has essentially no empathy for the "lower class." He's deeply lonely and has trouble being alone with himself and bottles up his emotions. He can be annoying and sometimes believes he's the main character and somehow he's more important than everyone else, and he also has trouble paying attention and remembering things due to his ADHD. He is very charming and can talk his way out of most situations, and fight his way out of all others. Even though he can be an asshole, and he's quite selfish at times, deep down he's a romantic who'd rather be an artist.
Appearance: Kai is around 5'11 and 160lbs. He has a narrow, thin frame with some muscle tone; he definitely works out, but he still has the lanky build of a teenager not quite grown into his proportions. Shoulders are fairly narrow, but a bit broader than the rest of his body. Seems taller than he is. He's identified by his posture –he stands with a casual slouch normally, but with a proud lift of his head and a certain look in his eye you can tell he comes from wealth. He has moderately pale skin with a light tan and golden yellow undertones. His hair is dusty blonde with the same golden undertones as his skin and 90s cut. Parted in the middle with a few strands in his face, a bit longer than the conventional cut. His eyes are hazel-green with yellow-brown rings around the irises. Wears a lot of extravagant clothing. He also wears a gold chain with a pendant around his neck.
Fears: He has a crippling fear of failure and loneliness; he craves human connection but is awful at vulnerability. He thinks he's constantly letting people down, and he's terrified that he'll never become the man his father wants him to be.
Likes: Piano, painting, some singing, old books and indie films, poker, anything thing that gives him a high or an adrenaline rush, exploring, seeing the galaxy, meeting new people
Dislikes: High expectations, actually having to kill people, being alone, vulnerability, awkward situations, when people pity him, telling his secrets, his parents.
Backstory: Born into wealth. His father's a CEO with crazy high expectations whose happiness hinges on his children's financial success and intelligence. His mother's a distant, flighty traveler who thinks money and gifts can replace connection. His sister is the only sane one, but she moved once she became financially independent and he's always being compared to her. After several instances where Kai supposedly "squandered" the family wealth, his parents cut him off –well, his father cut him off, but his mother still sends him money. He decided to earn money himself to prove his worth to his father, but he found that the only way he could was through bounty hunting.
Other: Can speak multiple languages fluently.

It was raining in Eirus –droplets of water were running down the windows in the cockpit, pooling on the side. Kai balanced awkwardly against his own seat, trying to find his other shoe without letting his bare foot touch the floor. He was in a hurry. He wished he could say he had a girl waiting for him, and in a way he did, but the girl in question was his ticket home, his ticket to success. Her existence was the biggest embrace from the universe he'd received in a long time. He was starting to think he was the unluckiest bastard in the entire universe, that is, until he found out about her and the bounty on her head.

His engine exhaled at the same time he did, and he found himself smiling. Astra Morrylin. He'd tattoo her name on his chest, above his heart, and he'd remember to thank her every time he spent the money. She was just a royal. He'd end her life painlessly, and he'd thank her before he pulled the trigger, and he'd live free of guilt and free of financial stress. It was perfect.

He slid out of his ship, feeling the rain pelt against his face, and he ran a hand through his blonde hair. He knew just where to find her. Hand on his weapon, smile on his face, he set out to change his destiny.

@ElderGod-Carrots

The castle seemed dull. Probably because the clouds had blocked out the sun preventing any heat or light filtering through the castle windows. Astra sighed, not liking the gloom. Luckily there were no meetings today and her father was out somewhere doing something she hadn't listen to at the time. Today was supposed to be her day off. A day to just relax and sit in the sun and read and do nothing but now she was forced inside.

She supposed she could still read. Or paint, or do anything but the rain had put a damper on her mood and she just didn't feel like it. Instead, the princess just wandered aimlessly through the too big castle, heading towards the serving quarters to say hi to the friends she had down there. It was funny, since there had been this huge conspiracy about how the staff here were underpaid were in fact it was the opposite. Astra had petitioned for a raise for them all and it had worked.

The soft click of her flats against the floor and the soft flicker of the lights with the drops of the rain was really all that could be heard as she walked, sticking to the outside of the castle walls before she would have to head inside.

@WriteOutofTime

The servant's uniform fit him a bit tightly, but with his posture it wasn't too noticeable. He stood a ways back from the rest of the workers in the serving quarters, who seemed somewhat dissatisfied with their station. He caught a few dirty glances, but most people didn't question his being there. Good, his plan would work much better if he flew under the radar for a while.

He brought up the mental image of the castle's layout. If his memory served, he was far away from Astra's living quarters, meaning he'd have to slowly make his way there, likely after nightfall. He wasn't an impatient sort.

@ElderGod-Carrots

The princess entered the quarters not too long after, smiling brightly and waving at anyone who looked her way. It was almost like the atmosphere changed, some of the servants dropping what they were doing to go say hello and give Astra a hug, others just going with a wave before heading back to work. She didn't even noticed the extra servant down here, one that did not belong and was not under her employment.

Astra was too wrapped up in her conversations to noticed, happily talking about someone's children and another plans to head into town tonight to grab some new clothes. She enjoyed talking to everyone, wanting to get to know every single person by name and who they were and their stories.

@WriteOutofTime

White hair, cascading down her shoulders, bright warm smile. Kai thought she looked naive, more innocent than he expected, and he was shocked to see the servants light up when she entered. He kept his distance, watching her drift from person to person, their chatter filling the dismal room. She was calling people by name, which concerned him a little since he was an impostor, but she seemed too caught up in their conversations to notice him.

He decided he'd follow her when she left. That'd be the easiest way. He couldn't kill her with an audience.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Astra wasn't there for long, not wanting to disturb the others work with her presence. She promised to catch up with people later on after work was done. She might be a social butterfly but work was still important and she wasn't going to be one to get in the way of that. She waved goodbye, slipping a hand into her loose flowing pants as she headed back the way she came.

Now what? She could go to the library, maybe. Head into town as long as she changed into some more appropriate clothing.
