yes i am lonely
yes i have too many roleplays
don't judge me
I just want something cute, whether that be coffee shop AU, bookstore AU, whatever. I need a source of joy. More to come upon someone joining this.
I will be using my beloved boy Simon:
Name: Simon Percival Andrews
Gender: demiboy
Sexual Orientation: gay
Appearance: Dark brown slightly curly hair, big grey eyes rimmed with long lashes. Tall, about 6'1''. No facial hair or anything; thin-lipped, a Roman nose, and high cheekbones.
Personality: Cynical, self-deprecating, and witty. Not a physical fighter, but likes to debate and argue. Smart, but quiet for the most part, knows more than they divulge. Once they take a liking to you he'll follow you around like a puppy.
Strengths: mentally strong, very convincing.
Weaknesses: Not likable in the least, only tolerable when you get to know him.
Magical Abilities?: paralyzation by touch and possession
anyways
someone help me
hello! of course you may! I'll put up rules and stuff
here we go:
low levels of smut permitted, but will be moved to DM
your character can be a bitch but not you
swearing is welcome
LGBTQ+ preferred
just use common sense
my character has been abused in the past so prepare for some of that
Okie dokie! Sounds good to me!
so what character are you planning to use and what sort of plot?
Uh! We can do a coffee shop au! And I can fill out a character!
Name: Alucard Elys Smith
Gender: Cis-Male he/him/his
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Appearance: Alucard has soft blond hair that's more on the longer side. He usually has it up in a bun, and it's an undercut. He has heterochromia, his left eye is a sharp grey color, his right is a bright green. He's a bit on the pale side. He loves wearing oversize hoodies, and he has this cute style going on with him. He has a massive birthmark on his waist, which makes him really self conscious. He's about 5'7, and more on the lean side.
Personality: Always smiling tbh. If there was one word to describe his personality, it would be sunshine. He always seems to have boundless energy.
Strengths: Looks for a bright side, sees the good in people
Weaknesses: Overworks himself, isn't very confident in himself.
Magical Abilities?: None, as far as he knows.
he’s so cute omg
ill work on a starter but it probably won’t be up until tomorrow.
(off we go!)
Simon was at the counter of the coffee shop, pulling on the hem of their shirt. Their hair kept falling in their eyes and he had half a mind to use the abandoned twist-tie on the counter to put it up. They picked at his nail polish absently. Business was slow today, but it was eleven am on a Tuesday, so that was to be expected.
They looked at the sign on the door that said ‘Clockwork Cafe’ and reread the list of specials for today. Caramel Mocha, Cinnamon Spice, and Licorice Twist. This was unbearably boring.
There was a sudden loud thud and a groan. Alucard let out a little hiss of pain as he picked himself off the street. He had been in a rush all morning, going around for interviews, working his ass off- and god he needed something to eat. Or at least coffee to keep him awake at the moment. Luckily, he had stumbled on a cute looking store, "Clockwork Cafe". God- a Caramel mocha sounded like heaven right now. He gathers his things and enters the cafe and cleared his throat. "Good morning!" He calls cheerfully, moving to the counter. He adjusts his bag, searching for his wallet. "Can I get a large caramel mocha and a licorice twist?" Both options looked delicious. He offered a cheerful smile to the person in front of him.
“Welcome to the Clockwork Cafe,” Simon said unenthusiastically. He watched the person enter the shop and adjusted their nametag. “Sure. Right away.” They turned away from the blond customer, pulling a large cup from the stack and placing the required ingredients on the counter. They finished with the coffee and pulled the Licorice Twist pastry out of the display, bagging it up.
“Five dollars and sixty-eight cents.”
Alucard offered a warm smile as he waited for the drink and his pastry. "Thank you so much." He set a 10$ bill down. "Go ahead and keep the change." He hummed before he moved to one of the tables, settling down into the chair. A soft sigh left his lips as he nibbled on his pastry and fumbled for his computer, once again getting back to work. His eyes scan over the page as he types a few things up. He takes a sip of his mocha and smiled, that was… Actually really good.
“I hope your. . . uh, face feels better. I saw you fall on the sidewalk. What was that about, anyways?” They usually weren’t much of a talker, but the blondie was sort-of cute, so an exception was made.
He put the ten in the cash register and dropped the change on the tip jar.
He looked up and his cheeks flushed red. "Ah- I was hoping no one saw that." He laughed quietly. "Yeah. My face is okay. I'm in a little bit of pain but nothing I can't handle." He laughed a little and stretched slightly. "I'm Alucard. It's a pleasure to meet you." He says cheerfully. Definitely sunshine if it was personified.
“Simon, per my name tag,” they responded. They fell silent for a moment, then said, “Is the Licorice Twist good? Have you tried it yet?”
A little smile fell over his face. "Simon! That's a nice name." He said warmly. He hummed before grabbing the treat and taking a small bite. His eyes lit up and he nods, swallowing quickly. "Yeah! It's really good!" He beamed a bit before taking another bite, looking extremely happy.
Simon shrugged at the compliment. “You seem very. . . exuberant for having just fallen on your face.”
(I'm back! Sorry about that. I was going through a lot)
Alucard smiled and shrugged. "Accidents happen, besides the food is good." he laughed quietly and pulled his hair back before taking a sip of his drink.
(don’t worry! im just glad you’re okay :)
Simon hid a smile. “You have a very positive outlook on life. I’m glad you like the food.”
(Thank you! :)
Alucard chuckled softly, "I try to. It's nice to find the good things." He hummed and nods, "I love it!" He took another bite of his food before stretching and releasing a content sigh. Despite falling on his face, today was a good day.
Simon didn’t say anything, just sat on the stool behind the counter and picked at their nail polish.
Alucard went quiet as well, grabbing his laptop and setting to work. He had a few deadlines that he needed to meet today but that was fine. He downed his drink in a matter of minutes (more like seconds it seemed).
“Do you want another coffee?” Simon asked, amused. “I can get you one.”
