"Oh. Sorry. Right." She looked at her shoes, leaning down to retie one.
"Oh. Sorry. Right." She looked at her shoes, leaning down to retie one.
"I'm not like… scared of swimming or water or anything. I just don't particularly enjoy it."
"Yeah, but it still probably sucks," she said ruefully and glanced at him.
"Yeah, I guess so." He shrugged again. "I haven't gone swimming in a while, anyway."
"I don't like that I have to wear a swimsuit, though. I hate swimsuits."
"Makes sense. Ours were always very simple. I've seen people here with some very brightly colored ones, though. It's a bit odd."
"I hate drawing attention to myself. The bright swimsuits are the worst. Make me have panic attacks."
"Well, you could wear a simple black or navy one." Lin shrugged. "That's what we always wore."
"Still. I feel like it accentuates the worst parts of my body. I loathe them."
"You don't have to wear them then, I guess. Or you could wear a t-shirt on top or something."
“But when it gets wet, it clings to me. I dunno how to solve that.”
Lin shrugged a bit. "I dunno. It's better than nothing, I guess."
"Yeah. I suppose." She pulled on her necklace. "I like how the water feels, though."
Lin nodded, adjusting his grip on the chains. "It's alright, I suppose. What other things do you like doing?"
"Art. I like painting. Mostly I just sleep. That way I don't have to think about things."
He nodded again. "Yeah, I get that… I've never been particularly artsy, though. Maybe I'd be good at it, I dunno."
"You should try. It never hurts to try."
"I guess so. We don't really have any supplies, though. I'm sure we can try it at some point if we get the opportunity."
"We could buy some. If you want." She looked at him. "I could teach you."
"Sure. We don't have that much money though, do we? We should probably save it for essentials."
“I guess you’re right. I’ll see if my sister can send me some money tomorrow.”
"You really don't have to do that…" Lin fidgeted nervously. "I wouldn't want to inconvenience her or anything."
"I'm sure she wouldn't mind," Orion reassured him.
"I can't exactly stop you from doing whatever you want, so you can do whatever you think is best." Lin sighed softly.
“Lin, she has a job. I’m sure a few dollars won’t hurt her wallet too much.”
