The golden age of space piracy is now. Captain Katrina Violet in particular has attracted quite the… colorful menagerie of pirates and runaways alike. But when your characters, a pack of rowdy misfit children, accidentally become stowaways on their ship, Katrina is forced to face their past as well as possibly the fate of the universe.

Basically, I’m playing Katrina and their crew, and y’all are playing Katrina’s semi-unwillingly adopted children stowaway kids. Oh, and Katrina and the kids save the universe. Did I mention?

Rules are simple. This is for the most part sci-fi, and so no magic. Tech is allowed but don’t be op with what your character can do (aka no Mary Sues). Other species are ok, again no overpowering your characters. No adult content, violence and gore are okay but y’all know what I mean. Swearing is also good but don’t use slurs, and have fun!

Name: Oliver Carmichael
Age: 16
Gender/Pronouns: male, he/him
Orientation: bisexual
Species/Non-human features?: human
Appearance: Oliver is a boy of a bit under average height, standing at 5'6". He has a slight build, to the point where he could be considered scrawny. He's a bit on the ganglier side, with long limbs and a clumsy disposition. He's covered in freckles and oftentimes also grease or soot from whatever stolen parts he's trying to throw together. His skin is a warm olive tone. He has somewhat delicate features, with a heart-shaped face and a button nose, but is actually quite rowdy. He has wide, warm brown eyes that take in everything and anything with enthusiasm. Oliver has fluffy, curly dark brown hair that is starting to grow out and get unruly. He has taken to putting it in a baby half-up ponytail to get it out of his face. He doesn't care to cut his hair at all.
Personality: Oliver is excitable, loud, and a bit reckless. He's easy to please and loves to make new things out of whatever scraps he can find. He's also liable to take things apart to see what they're made of and then attempt to rebuild them (key word here is attempt). He always seems to be hungry and will not let anything exciting happen without him around. He loves to tease people and can be a bit of a friend when he's in a more devious mood, but Oliver is mostly harmless. He's mischievous but doesn't like to hurt others, just annoy the shit out of them. He's clever, and can pick up things quickly, being a fast learner.

Name: Franklyn Berg
Age: 13
Gender/Pronouns: Male, he/him. Responds to 'it'.
Species/Non-human features?: GMO Human, as a result of his parent's gene editing experiments. Has a long prehensile tail, large racoon-looking ears, and retractable claws.
Appearance: Franklyn is roughly 5'8"/1.7m tall, and weighs 150lbs/68kg. He wears his brown hair in a quiff, and gives off rich boy vibes. His eyes are hazel, and very large, giving him a perpetually wide-eyed expression. He is white, with perfect skin across his face and neck, no scarring, no complexion issues. The fur over his ears and tail is a much lighter color than his hair, almost a tawny shade. He wears what appears to be designer everything, from his geometric glasses to his dark blue jeans to his orange button-up to his yellow sneakers to his canvas trucker jacket. All of them are pieces of tech he has refined, slowly. He also wears a beat up set of fingerless leather gloves, which contrast strongly with his much more shiny, put-together look.
Personality: Franklyn is naive and shy. He's been very repressed by his family, and thus doesn't know how to handle complex emotions very well. He's inquisitive and loves to learn and ask questions, but he'll miss the social cues that people are annoyed by his questions. He's learned to be ashamed of his GMO status, and sometimes will hide the bits of him that aren't natural. He's rather quiet, though he has had to learn to come out of his shell a bit with Ronni around.
Skills: Franklyn is a technological genius. He has an uncanny level of competence with tinkering and tech, and has often wondered if this was another thing his parents genetically modified him to do. He's more comfortable elbow-deep in the guts of a machine than in conversation with people. He also has a particular flair for pyrotechnics, which has helped him in machining and building things.

Name: Veronica Ricci, goes by Ronni
Age: 16
Gender/Pronouns: Female, she/her
Species/Non-human features?: Avian-Human hybrid. Had a large set of wings, feathers and all, before the Incident. Now those wings are smaller, and metal.
Appearance: Ronni is roughly 5'/1.5m tall and weighs about 120lbs/54kg. She's slim, but still has a slight figure. Her hair is a dark green, shaved down the sides and back, with about an inch on top she usually keeps spiked. She has a line of neon light that wraps around the back of her head from temple to temple, placed under the skin, that changes color with her mood. She typically doesn't speak, so the lights help her communicate. Her nose is upturned, and her chin is pointy, but you can't tell because she always wears a metal mask covering her face from the cheekbones down. It is silvery and has a hooked "beak" appearance, giving her the facial profile of a bird-of-prey. Her eyes would be called blue, but they're closer to grey than blue. She has long, slim fingers and small feet, and at times appears more like some sort of human-sized fairy. She tends to wear layers of thin material, sometimes sheer, so that she can quickly layer up or lose layers to adjust to the temperature and her surroundings. She likes jeans, and completes the look with combat boots, or a single pair of sneakers she's had for a while. She tends towards blue, grey, and dark green in her color choices, if she can get them, although the boots are black, and the sneakers are red.
Personality: Ronni is distrustful and angry. She can be hard to get along with, but Franklyn has earned her trust. She likes small spaces, hiding, nature, and quiet people. She dislikes being seen, having to talk, big men, and people trying to 'rescue' her. At some point, she was a sweet girl, and has potential to be that way if you get close to her, but her trauma has lead to a thick shell. Her usual silence doesn't help this either.
Skills: Her wings are functional, and allow her to fly. She has also picked up a lot of combat skills, from a short career as a cage fighter.
