OwO! OK
(Alright almost twenty minutes later I'm done with my first thing. I was thinking Jasper would come in and listen to him, be like wwow and irritate M about how well he did)
It was late. Perhaps too late to be awake, but M, as always, was awake. He got home, clacking his keys on the inntable next to his front door and shutting the door to a quiet, dark home whose suggestive traits bore down on him. The dark carpets made soft noises as he crept across the dark foyer to his main upstairs staircase. He wanted to make noise, his fingers itched to feel the keys below them. A moment’s pause, and he was up the steps in a heartbeat, his long legs taking three to four steps at a time to get to the master bedroom, where his well-worn piano waited for him. It was large, grand, shining and a sleek black. The sheet was down but the cover of the soundboard was down. He lifted it up first and blew off dust. Then he got started with his steps of preparation.
He was home, practically throwing his bag across the room to untighten his tie and sit on the black stool, which sunk with a soft hiss under his familiar weight. First, he moved the heavy sheet of wood covering the keys up and back, so he could actually play his piano, then sucked in a breath between his clenched teeth in actual, pure, excitement. He set his long fingers, worn and and naturally made to play, onto the cold white keys. The moonlight threw attractive silver rays of light, making them shift as he got ready to play.
He started with a slow scale that he followed slowly with his voice. Both, the piano and his voice were rumbly and strange-sounding to him. Soon he managed to get both under control and started quicker scales in different keys.
He found the key he wanted to play in, and played it quicker until his fingers ached in annoyance with him. When they ached, he joined with his voice to raise it higher and higher to the octave he knew it could still reach. It strained just a bit, naturally, but it soon sounded smooth as he finished his warm up.
He sat back in his seat with a soft inhale. What to play now? He leaned forward a bit and thought for a bit, but his fingers knew what he wanted. He set his fingers down, inhaled slowly, and started to play.
“Toniiight… I'm gonna have myself a real good time… I feel ali-i-iiiive… and the world I’ll turn it inside out, yeah… And floating around in ecstasy…”
Jasper was walking home, heading through the nicer part of town before he got to his part of town, the much… Meaner part of town, when he heard beautiful music drifting through the air, the sound seeming to move along with the wind. "That sounds like…Behemoth Rapsoapy? Did I say that right?" Jasper muttered to himself, Mendax had tried to teach him band names, but the foreign boy just didn't pick up on them. Little did Jasper know, he had been moving closer to the sound, nearing a large house before stopping. Was that, was that Mister M's voice? Jasper was almost sure of it.
(fucking snorts)
“I’m gonna go, go, go! There’s no stopping mee…~ I’m burnin’ through the skyyyyy yeah! Two hundreed degreeees– that's why the call me Mister Fahrenheeeiiiiit!”
M’s voice was raising to overlap the deep, already loud voice of his playing, moving forward farther as if singing into a microphone. All his cares were melting away. Who cared about disturbing neighbors? So what if it was well past midnight? The sun was raising anyway, it would at least be a good alarm. The thought brought a genuine smile to his lips as he played faster with the song.
"I'm traveling at the speed of light! I wanna make a supersonic man out of you!"
(oof)
