Vira nodded before leaving. She came back a few hours later.

Liese was asleep again by the time Vira returned, the food on the side table left untouched.

Vira bit her lip and cleaned up the food.

Liese stirred a bit, but stayed asleep, wincing when she moved.

Vira sat down and did some classwork.

It took a while, but Liese eventually opened her eyes with a soft groan.

Vira looked over. "are you feeling better?"

"Not great, but fine, I guess…" Liese mumbled tiredly.

Vira nodded. "that makes sense. Why don't you try to eat a bit? I brought something small up." She gestured for the tray on the desk. it wasn't a full meal just a few small things.

"Mm… don't wanna…" Liese mumbled in reply, shifting around on her bed to try and get more comfortable.

"Ok but it's there if you get hungry."

"Mm…" Liese curled up tighter. "I'll have to be back in class by Monday, most likely…"

"That's good. Heres your notes for today." She gave her another page of paper.

"Thanks, I guess…" Liese accepted the paper and glanced over it, seeming pretty tired. "Dunno how long it'll take me to heal…"

"Take your time. I didn't tell the teacher what happened just that you didn't feel good and she seemed fine with it. you should probably email your other teachers or something."

"Yeah, maybe…" Liese sighed. "I don't want to miss too much, though. Makeup work is a bitch."

"Yeah, it can be pretty bad. I missed almost a whole month before."

"Mm… and we get way too much homework here as it is…" Liese sighed again.

"Yeah, we do." She took out her notebook.

Liese pulled out her laptop so she could at least try and do some assignments while she was out of commission.

Vira worked on her own work. "Do you really hate it here?" She asked after a while of silence.

"Yeah, I do. I hate it, but unfortunately not more than I hate my home…" Liese sighed softly.

Vira nodded. "I just. I still hope you're wrong." She kept her voice low.

"Well, don't be too optimistic… this place is awful." Liese toyed with her hair a bit.
