Luana shrugged and adjusted the bag on her shoulder. "I need to put this stuff into the room you've let me borrow, but other than that…Maybe try to find a place with lava cake?" she asked with a slightly hopeful smile. It has been too long since she had her favorite dessert, and if these people could afford a penthouse, then they could afford to get her some lava cake.
“O-Oh, yeah! We can do that,” Marx said, smiling a little dorkily. “I love lava cake. It’s the best,” she said before turtling again in her bandanna
Luana's smile turned small but friendly. "Sounds great. I haven't had lava cake in forever, but I love it as well." She tapped the straps of her bag, then pushed off of the wall to head over to her room. "I'll be back out in a bit," she said as she passed by.
Marx just nodded, realizing that she should probably go get changed into something better, too. But right now she figured she was alright–a tank top and shorts would suffice for somewhere normal
Luana slipped into the bedroom she was using and took out the money. It was already wrapped in a plastic cover, so she took out some duct tape and taped it under the bed. That'll do for now, she thought grimly. Better safe than sorry in her book. These people seemed nice enough, but she wasn't sure how they'd react to her having a few thousand in cash while practically begging for help.
Marx pulled her hightops on before leaning against the arm of the couch, humming a tune softly as she waited for Luana to come out. The others were already busying themselves doing this and that, and Adrik was apparently gone
Luana came back out, idly playing with her brother's ring. Her gaze darted this way and that, watching the different band members going about their day. It was so strange to her, for some reason. Something so normal happening around her that it made her feel like something bad was bound to happen.
Marx looked over at Luana when she came out, a little smile on her face. "Ready?" she asked as she stowed her wallet in her pocket for when they went out to the restaurant
Luana nodded and headed over to Marx. "Ready as ever, I suppose." She didn't return the smile, but her eyes brightened some in response to Marx's smile. She just couldn't wait for some lava cake, as her taste buds were now craving it more than ever.
Marx led the way towards the elevator now, humming softly to herself as she held it open for Luana. She was just happy that they were going to be able to hang out a little over one of her favorite treats. And why that made her so excited, she didn't know, but she was just so excited to be able to talk to someone nice
Luana slipped through the door with a small "Thank you," listening to Marx hum with a quiet interest. This was a strange girl indeed, but Luana's curiosity directed towards her pushed away any insistence that she should be slipping away and being on her own to figure everything out.
Marx just hummed softly in response, masking her eagerness to go out. She liked when she had an opportunity to go out, especially when she got to hang out with someone who wasn't ridiculously overexaggerated, or a little annoying. As they stepped into the elevator, she had to turtle again to hide her excitement
Luana arched a brow in Marx's direction when she noted her turtling into her bandana. She hadn't said anything to warrant such a thing, so Luana was curious as to why Marx was hiding again. She also seemed a little extra…buoyant. What was that all about? Such a curious one, she was.
Marx decided to drum her fingers along the railing to break the silence, still partially hidden in her bandanna. "So…Ever been to a buffet before?" she asked. "The place I was thinking of has the lava cakes and is pretty close by…"
Luana tilted her head, humming in thought. "I've been to a buffet once, though it wasn't one that had lava cakes—mostly just dinner foods with a limited dessert section that mainly focused on ice cream." She nodded and leaned against the railing, shifting a bit so it wasn't digging into her spine so much. I really need to eat more…
"Well, this one's good, and has a lot of dessert and stuff," Marx said with a small smile, her face still half-covered by the top part of her bandanna
Luana nodded, glancing over at Marx. "I look forward to it." She then raised a brow when she saw that the other girl was still burrowed into her bandanna.
Marx finally seemed to catch on to Luana staring at her, and she did her best to force herself to un-turtle. "Sorry, force of habit," she said, rubbing at the back of her neck in an embarrassed manner
Luana nodded in understanding, shifting against the railing slightly before cursing under her breath and standing normally, her spine ceasing in its stabbing pain. She turned to Marx with her head titled curiously. "You seemed a little more enthusiastic than normal," she also pointed out.
"Oh, um…Sorry, I just haven't gotten to go out with someone other than the guys for a really long time, especially not for lava cakes. They're usually out partying," Marx said with a little shrug as the elevator finally slowed to a stop on the first floor. She let Luana walk out first before following after her
Luana tilted her head as she stepped out, thinking. "It's alright, it was just…odd. I'm not very used to going out with people. They usually drag me somewhere that I don't really care about, but I have a feeling this'll be more enjoyable." She was speaking the truth—she liked the sound of a buffet and lava cake, and Marx seemed like someone Luana could get along with quite well.
(hey so I'm sort of leaving the public forums for a while due to being busy, and since we still have this going and I do still enjoy this ship and rp, I was wondering if we could move it to inbox? we don't have to do suggestive stuff or anything, it would just be easier for me to navigate and handle with limited time on the site)
((Oh, hey. Sorry I couldn't get to you faster, I've been at a sort of business camp. Anywho, yeah, we could move it to inbox. I totally get it with you being busy))
(ah yeah, sorry, I didn't see this till recently bc I just got back from a small vacation. but yeah, sure, if you're up for it I can make an inbox for the rp)
((It's alright, and go for it. I'm curious to see where this pairing will go))
