Wyatt sighed. "It's all good… You couldv'e at least… warned me I guess instead of knocking me out-" He huffed.
"People don't like it when I warn them either. And like I said, I only get so many opportunities to find test subjects… I can't risk them pacing the race away." Ario sighed. "Rest assured that everything I do to you, I've already done to myself."
Wyatt froze, his peepers growing cold. "Are you okay?!" He suddenly asked, worried as he took his grabby limbs, and looked at him.
He always cared for people, ecspecially when they nearly harm themsleves internally.
Ario jumped a bit, seeming startled and bumfuzzled. "Y-Yes, I'm fine… why do you ask?" His grabby limbs were covered in old scars of all shapes and sizes, obviously from both scalpels and various chemicals and the like. They were done intentionally, of course, but not as any form of self harm. He simply wanted to do his tests, and had to do them on himself as well. "I always numb myself the way I numbed you, so I'm not sure what the issue is?"
Wyatt traced the scars with his fingers, and managed to make them vanish… one by one.
His peepers were oddly, cold. "Listen to me. I don't want you doing another test on yourself, got it?!" He asked him, sternly.
Ario turned his ears back a bit and looked up at Wyatt meekly, his peepers wide with fear and confusion. "W-Why not? I always stitch myself back up, and there's not a lot of sheep satyrs around, so it's generally beneficial for me to just do the tests on myself. Why is that such a problem?"
Wyatt gave him a cold glare, before sighing and closing his peepers, which were a faint yellow. "Because you might end up getting yourself killed." He said, his voice shaky.
I don't need another life lost.
"How else am I supposed to get my research? If I die, I die. That's how life goes." Ario shrugged, seeming to genuinely not be concerned. "And besides, it's not like anyone actually likes me or knows where I live. My death wouldn't really concern anyone else and all would be fine."
Wyatt suddenly grabbed him by the jaw, to where the two locked peepers. "It would be concerning to some. Don't you have a family, friends?" He asked, tilting his head.
Ario shook his head weakly, quivering with fear. He really didn't like being held like this. "N-No sir. I don't have any friends and my family all lives very far away or is dead… I haven't really seen them in a while, so…"
Wyatt paused. "Wait- No friends? I can be your friend if you'd like-" He muttered, his mood changing oddly fast.
"Why would you wanna be my friend? I knocked you unconscious and then started testing on you… most people don't like that very much…" Ario fidgeted nervously with his hands.
Wyatt huffed. "You gotta have at least one person remember you when you die." He said, taking his hands and giving a comforting smile.
He didn't know what was going on.
Ario still seemed nervous and uncomfortable, unsure what to do at the moment. "But… I'm not done with the tests on you… and people don't like it when I test on them."
Wyatt sighed. "I can heal myself, remember?" He said, looking down toward the somewhat, shorter/taller figure.
"W-Well, yes, but still…" Ario sighed softly. "Are you sure that's something you'd want? I… I could let you stay awake if you preferred… that's how I do it on myself, obviously. But if you'd rather be unconscious, that can also be arranged…"
Wyatt shook his head. "Yes, I'd prefer to be awake." He muttered, a bit nervous.
Ario nodded a bit and looked away, still pretty uneasy. "Uhm… Alrighty, then. Uhm… maybe later, though…" He pulled away from Wyatt and headed up the broken escalator.
Wyatt nodded, before sitting on the table, hiding his face in his hands.
Ario started making breakfast in the kitchen once he made it upstairs, humming softly to himself as he did so. He kept it pretty simple, just making some bacon and eggs. He made more than he usually would, figuring that Wyatt needed to eat too.
Wyatt groaned, his head throbbing. Ugh…
Considering Ario had dragged Wyatt down the broken escalator, it wasn't surprising that he had a headache. Ario, however, was still upstairs and therefore couldn't hear Wyatt.
Wyatt just kept his head low, sighing.
Eventually, Ario finished making breakfast and brought it over to the table. He started eating, figuring that he'd let Wyatt come up on his own time.
Wyatt came back a few minutes later, before sighing and sitting down.
Ario glanced up when he noticed Wyatt, nodding a bit in greeting before returning to his breakfast.
Wyatt took a few bites, and moaned softly in content. Finally, something that's better then jailfood! He thought, eating more of it.
Ario soon finished his mandatory sustenance (like cheetos) and then brought his plate to the sink to wash it. He had a few chickens in the back, which was usually where he got his eggs. He didn't much like going shopping.
Wyatt sighed, following him and washing his own plate off, yawning.
