Wyatt looked at him, concerned, and freaked out. "What in the actual hell were you doing?!" He asked, crossing his arms.
Was he disecting me?
Wyatt looked at him, concerned, and freaked out. "What in the actual hell were you doing?!" He asked, crossing his arms.
Was he disecting me?
"I'm experimenting…" Ario set down the vial and started fidgeting a bit. "I've never seen something like you before, so I wanted to do some tests… and I gotta get your blood and stuff to do that. It doesn't hurt you, especially since you have remarkable regenerative abilities…"
Wyatt felt a little freaked out, rubbing his arm. "You– um– Excuse me?" He was confused, tilting his head. "What– and why?— Or- Okay, you could've at least warned me."
"Well, people don't like it very much when I ask, and I don't get all that many opportunities to find new subjects…" Ario sighed. "I prefer to work on live subjects, after all, and people only live so long… and I'm really not all that strong. People escape sometimes, you know? Such a pity… I always fix them right up after I'm done with my tests."
Wyatt sighed, slouching and rested his chin on his arms. "I wouldn't mind, to be honest. I can fix myself up either or." He says, hiding his face in his hands.
Ario fidgeted a bit more. "I'm honestly just trying to do a little research on different species and such… I don't know why everyone thinks it's so bad. It's not like people will just come up to my door and ask to be experimented on. I haven't any money, really, so… I have to find my own subjects."
Wyatt sighed. "It's understandable. But most people would be a bit freaked out– What if you said it was a blood donation?" He asked, tilting his head.
"People would ask questions that I don't have the answers to, sir. It's very rare that I go into the city. I only go there to get supplies or to find subjects. Otherwise, I kind of just stay here. I don't talk to people much…"
Wyatt just stayed quiet, not knowing what to say.
(gtg)
(Okay)
"Uhm… I apologize if I've done something wrong, sir. I assure you that I have no malintent, I'm just… trying to get some information." Ario sighed softly.
(Bop)
(Sorry-)
Wyatt sighed. "It's all good… You couldv'e at least… warned me I guess instead of knocking me out-" He huffed.
"People don't like it when I warn them either. And like I said, I only get so many opportunities to find test subjects… I can't risk them running away." Ario sighed. "Rest assured that everything I do to you, I've already done to myself."
Wyatt froze, his eyes growing cold. "Are you okay?!" He suddenly asked, worried as he took his arms, and looked at him.
He always cared for people, ecspecially when they nearly harm themsleves internally.
Ario jumped a bit, seeming startled and confused. "Y-Yes, I'm fine… why do you ask?" His arms were covered in old scars of all shapes and sizes, obviously from both scalpels and various chemicals and the like. They were done intentionally, of course, but not as any form of self harm. He simply wanted to do his tests, and had to do them on himself as well. "I always numb myself the way I numbed you, so I'm not sure what the issue is?"
Wyatt traced the scars with his fingers, and managed to make them vanish… one by one.
His eyes were oddly, cold. "Listen to me. I don't want you doing another test on yourself, got it?!" He asked him, sternly.
Ario turned his ears back a bit and looked up at Wyatt meekly, his eyes wide with fear and confusion. "W-Why not? I always stitch myself back up, and there's not a lot of sheep satyrs around, so it's generally beneficial for me to just do the tests on myself. Why is that such a problem?"
Wyatt gave him a cold glare, before sighing and closing his eyes, which were a faint yellow. "Because you might end up getting yourself killed." He said, his voice shaky.
I don't need another life lost.
"How else am I supposed to get my research? If I die, I die. That's how life goes." Ario shrugged, seeming to genuinely not be concerned. "And besides, it's not like anyone actually likes me or knows where I live. My death wouldn't really concern anyone else and all would be fine."
Wyatt suddenly grabbed him by the jaw, to where the two locked eyes. "It would be concerning to some. Don't you have a family, friends?" He asked, tilting his head.
Ario shook his head weakly, quivering with fear. He really didn't like being held like this. "N-No sir. I don't have any friends and my family all lives very far away or is dead… I haven't really seen them in a while, so…"
Wyatt paused. "Wait- No friends? I can be your friend if you'd like-" He muttered, his mood changing oddly fast.
"Why would you wanna be my friend? I knocked you unconscious and then started testing on you… most people don't like that very much…" Ario fidgeted nervously with his hands.
Wyatt huffed. "You gotta have at least one person remember you when you die." He said, taking his hands and giving a comforting smile.
He didn't know what was going on.
Ario still seemed nervous and uncomfortable, unsure what to do at the moment. "But… I'm not done with the tests on you… and people don't like it when I test on them."
